So it seems like Italian teams are impatient and stupid when it comes to sacking like in real life.

I haven't been sacked on FM12. I won't come close to it with Saints either.

I can't remember ever being sacked but in FM09 I was close with Coventry, then Bolton offered me the job (they were 20th in the EPL in January) finished the season with them in 15th

My side has been invited to a Chinese tour, due to Basle's popularity in the nation. Nice feature.

I got that a lot for Barca, but I always declined because the timing was shit. I never play friendlies within a week of my first game of the season.

I need some therapy. I believe you've all been in this situation so help me out here.
My Spurs save has gone on long enough and I really want to start a new save with team I can build up from the ashes. Leaving my Spurs save is going to prove extremely difficult though. What should I do?

Roma sacked me. I was 10th in November, then came up to 2nd, and within 2 points of Inter. Lost my next match against Inter, and out I went.

I got sacked on FM10 with Barcelona because I wanted to pay the exact fee they put in for Villa (40M euros) but didn't have enough money so I gave them an ultimatum..I lost.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Used to love playing FM but I had a massive save where I brought up City to reaching a Champions League final, just losing to Lyon (I think it was). But then, the club had a takeover and the new guy replaced me straight away! After all that hardwork. Hopefully that is something they will look at in the next game because it's unrealistic.

I remember they used to have Gai Assulin in their youth team and I would offload him right away.
He wasn't good enough anyways.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
i've never offloaded anyone based on their nationality/religion
i have however, offloaded players in lieu of real life events
Candreva went on loan to Lazio IRL, so i sold him in game, even though he was doing fantastic
Kjaer flopped for Roma IRL and cost us the derby, so i'm still trying him in game, even though he was the world's best defender in FM

It was a joke. I actually offloaded him because he wasn't good enough.

It's happened quite a few times for me. They either get a yellow or red if they do it.

well, you're barca, so trivial decisions will always go your way

There was one goalkeeper, forget his name, that did this constantly in FM10. He pretty much got yellow and reds in every match

Well that made no sense, because it was called AGAINST me. And it didn't just happen at Barca.
