Some random Hungarian scored a last minute winner for Pompey to end my unbeaten run.

Yeah him. At least I beat them at home.
Now I get beat by Hull, 10 points of the play-offs.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
bought Rooney for Real Madrid in FM handheld , €70m. tried buy buy messi (hence all my transfers below), got barca to agree on a transfer fee, but couldn't negotiate a contract with messi =[
sold benzema and marcelo to man utd, €60m and €24m
sold arbeloa, diarra, and albiol to arsenal, €9m, €9m, €7m
sold di maria to barca , €21m
accepted a €60m offer from man utd for higuain on deadline day but he failed the medical
very simple and dumbed down version of FM, but still fun nonetheless. season go by quicker than on PC

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Schnix the scenario was:
starting January, you are unbeaten as _______ so far, and you have to try and retain that record.
I lost to fulham in the carling cup 2nd leg, but I won the overall tie, wonder if that counts as a loss

Guys, never, I repeat, NEVER, reduce your competition win bonuses.
Your team will constantly have abysmal morale even if you're winning back to back.
Greedy cunts.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
i just use normal bonuses usually unless if i'm managing a shit team like Siena, then i give everyone high bonuses so they perform better. never backfired on me... yet......
in FM11, i was trying to make the game harder for myself by giving everyone low bonuses. everyone was just abysmal like you said. it wasn't even a matter of game difficulty, the mechanics were just retarded. players become randomly frustrated for no reason. can't imagine any scenario when anyone would give their squad low bonuses

I always give my team high bonuses. There is nothing to lose, unless your club is facing bankruptcy.

St. Pauli.
Didn't help that Naki's agent wanted €450k when I went to renew his contract.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
high bonuses makes the game ridiculously easy tho. you can take a recently promoted team and make them win the title just by giving them high bonuses. i think it's SI's hidden way to set game difficulty in FM

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Does your reputation affect game difficulty? For example, is International Footballer easier than Sunday League Footballer. I know it affects which teams offer you a job, but does it affect the game difficulty too?

It's become a joke if I'm honest.
My players morale's are getting worse and worse, I'm still winning but the performances aren't exactly encouraging.
If it wasn't for Kruse and Sliskovic I'd be battle relegation, not in the promotion places.

Really? I have never used anything other than high.
