I think that Bellamy on form is better than him. Just.Gegilworld93 wrote:He's better than the likes of Bellamy, Kuyt, Downing and Maxi so I think he'd be good enough to start for Liverpool. Whether or not they're a 'top 6 team' is another question though .

Downing has a better cross as well, which is just perfect for our beast of a battering ram, Andrew Carroll.

Actually when I think about it, Dempsey's way better than Ben Arfa.
Harrold wrote:Sure, I think he's done more than enough at Fulham to get at least a shot in the top 6.
Maybe. He could possibly start at Arsenal but I must say he doesn't look great when playing wide. His goals tally is nice but from what I've seen he's been playing as a striker for FulhamDrake wrote:Dempsey is on shit hot form at the moment, anyone reckon he could start for a team in the top 6 and still play as well as he is now?
My friend, none of those teams you mentioned are regarding as top 6 clubs bar Newcastle.mauro=beast wrote:i think he can replace cahill in everton for that role they always used to do for cahill easily
also i think he can play same role as robbie keane behind bent in aston villa too before he loan out but everton and aston villa arent that good
maybe newcastle or liverpool he can start in these teams i think there is a good chance
i like dempsey he improve so much from when i first saw him but he doesnt seem to me like having outstanding qualities to play in champions league side and rather being excellent in certain things he is solid in everything. but in saying that look at gervinho and kalou, it shows its possible to play at that level ando not nesserially have any glaring outstanding qualities
Not sure if srsScuba Steve wrote:What a ridiculous question. Look at how many goals he has scored for an average team. Put him in a side that can consistently create chances (Fulham did score their 9th, 10th, and 11th away goals this season today), and he would have put away 20 in the league this season.
You guys can't seriously think that he wouldn't have a spot in the teams in the league. Only place I think he would really have to battle would be Manchester United and Manchester City -- but even then, with the amount of goals he scores, he could find a spot in the United set up.

Exactly. I think that Spurs would be the most realistic team he could play for.

20 league goals a season is not as easy as you make it out to be. Especially considering he would rotate in pretty much every top 6 squad. Last season nobody got over 20 league goals correct me if I'm wrong. The only top 6 sides he could maybe be considered a starting player would be Chelsea or Arsenal.
People said the same about Carroll joining Liverpool "he will play alongside better players and score for fun because Downing is the best crosser in the league". People said Gervinho would rape EPL teams because he got 29 goals/assists in his previous season with Lille. It just doesn't work like that mi amigo.
mauro=beast wrote:i think we cannot like say someone that can score many goals in a low team can automatically score just as many or even mor ein better team look at player like carroll
i think depends on quality of the player and not statistics. i am jus tbeing honest i dont see dempsey as technical magician player, or amazingley quick or incredible passer. but he is solid at all these things but not outstanding at any. im always feel that those top teamsa re looking for players that can excel at one or two of those facets and doesnt need to be amazing at the rest. look at walcott and kalou these players are fast like usain bolt but have no technique or intelligence. but their pace offers something to those teams and is a valuable thing
maybe u can say dempsey offers good consiostent finishing but isnt that why those top teams have player like van persie and rooney etc
so idk im hope i didnt offend steve he is my friend but i do think dempsey can starting in team like tottenham or newcastle. its just that if a team like arsenal or most likely chelsea needed a player they probably go for some famous player from the continent
