All because of Di Matteo

Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
Don't really think it's his doing. Wouldn't be surprised if the players weren't performing at the best of their abilities before just to force Villas-Boas out. I struggle to believe that Di Matteo is capable of instigating such a huge change.

So players was playing bad just to get rid of AvB?
Doesn't work like that and why don't you think RDM can make such a big change?

Please learn to read. I did clearly say "not playing to the best of their abilities". That can mean not putting in as much effort as possible, ignoring Villas-Boas' tactics and orders, stuff like that. I just fail to see how a blatantly mediocre manager like Di Matteo can manage to turn around a team from being outplayed by Swansea and West Brom to beating a very good Napoli side 4-1.

Tbh, I've thought what BG thought since Di Matteo came in, I think its blatant the team are putting in more effort since AVB's gone.

I think anyone with half a brain would realize that. But there's a sensationalist hysteria going around these days so we have to attribute Chelsea's improvement to Di Matteo's tactical genius, nothing else.

I know tone can be lost over an online medium, but I really don't see how my words can convey at all that I'm mad. Start, I think you're mad because your joke of a team forced out your former manager by deploying underhanded tactics that make the entire club look like a disgrace and you can't accept the harsh reality. Jord is probably just trolling.

You're not exactly on the up because you've beaten two Championship sides and laboured to a victory against ten man Stoke, but at least your players are putting in more effort and not trying to force out the manager.

I notice you never mentioned the Napoli victory in there.

Yes, that was the whole point. You managed to get one respectable victory, that doesn't indicate that you're on the up at all. You have to sustain that form and gain a couple more of similar results before we can make that judgement. It was my fault for trying to remain civilised and argue with someone as mindless as you. Anyway, I've got to go. Goodbye.

BladeGunner how is Di Matteo a mediocre manager? He is unproven at a top club, and in the process of proving himself now.

Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
I'm happy for Torres. He had been playing well before this match, he was just missing a goal (or two).
As much as I love Sturridge he must learn to pass to teammates in better positions than him. While it's true strikers are naturally selfish, he has gone way over the top. Torres on a hattrick could have been a lot more selfish but he chose to pass to Meireles. I hope he learns his lesson soon enough.
