Dimitar Berbatov set to leave Manchester United.

My friends, what is happening? In the most shocking news of the decade it appears that Ferguson is about to admit defeat and let the potential best player in the world leave this summer. In his numerous attempts to build the team to match the standards of Dimitar Berbatov, Ferguson has failed. Berbatov's teamates have simply not been good enough, with speed of mind and footballing ability to allow the obvious one of a kind talents of Dimitar Berbatov to shine through. And Ferguson is ready to admit that Berbatov is too good for United: "For a player of his ability and talent, it is dissapointing we could not provide him enough football"

This is catastrophic for United's attempts to become the best team in the world, as it is clear for most neutrals to see that Dimitar Berbatov has all the attributes to beat any other striker in world football. It is simply a case of the midfield not being up to the standards as well as sloppy link up play and first time passes from the likes of Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck.

My question to you is how much of a decline will this cause to have on United, and can United ever become a force like Barcelona currently are, without Dimitar Berbatov as the spearhead?

So could a few of the Utd team that played. Didn't stop Bilbao steam rolling them.

I'd actually welcome him back. The football we're playing would suit him to the ground. Rafa, Modric, Bale, Lennon behind Berbatov would be devastating. That, and I have a signed Berbatov shirt that isn't going anywhere, so it would be more relevant if he still played for us.
