Isn't it usually second week in August? The 9th rings a bell for this season so I think it'll be similar next year.

If its the 18th I shouldn't miss any games. If its the 9th ill miss the opening game probably.

Was hoping for it to start on the 4th though, as it's my 18th on the 3rd

"I believe we have a superb opportunity to rebuild this great Club. Clearly, this will require resources, planning, hard work and patience. We will assemble a strong management team at every level of the Club. We will act rapidly, but also plan for the long term, because I am here for the long term."
"I also look forward to the Club re-engaging with the fans and the local community. We cannot succeed without their backing."
"We should not expect instant success, but our fans, employees and other stakeholders can expect 100 per cent commitment from me and my team."

I've heard that it's just a youth loan or something. People on WACCOE said that something similar happened last season. I think that Cairns will be back up but not on the bench as Warnock doesn't have keepers on the bench.

    Di Canio's view on Cheltenham:

“The difference between us and the others is that we have quality throughout our squad. It is important for me to have all around the field at least seven or eight players who can play football,” added Di Canio.

“You look at the other teams, how many have they got? Cheltenham have Marlon Pack but otherwise it is just ‘boom, boom, boom’ long ball football."

Sounds to me that he could be interested in Pack, and with him and Ritchie being good friends I wouldn't rule it out. Disagree about the "long ball football" statement seeing as we had 60% of the possesion though. We certainly aren't a long ball side.

Just ignore Di Canio, he's a self centered prick. Rich coming from a fan of a club managed by Steve Evans, but Di Canio is just as arragont if not more so than Evans.

Glad you've got Joe Martin, Charlie Lee, Lewis Montrose and Danny Spiller out through suspension. Doesn't surprise me however from what I saw on the opening day shifty. We won't win 5-0 as we pass the ball too much and don't shoot often enough. This has backfired us sometimes and we have had a couple of 1-0 home defeats against teams who nick a goal and then park the bus.

If Portsmouth are 13 or more points adrift in the drop zone when they visit St. Mary's, a defeat will relegate them #saintsfc #pompey
