He'd probably have a much better goal scoring record than he does now, playing with better players makes you play better.

People would not doubt his footballing ability as much as they do at Liverpool if he signed for any other club in the top 6 excluding Chelsea

    This is what I think.

    ManUtd:

Quality player who works hard for the team, not better than Rooney, and probably third choice in the team. Regular starter in Europe due to his work ethic. Would have been blasted for certain indescretions he has made, and probably avoided others, probably end up throwing his toys out the pram after being blasted by Fergie for not scoring more than 2 goals in a match.

Finds it frustrating to be dropped for Chicharito and Welbeck even when he's played well in the Champions League. Co-incidentally scored the winner for the first knock-out stage after a sweet pass by Rooney which he latched on to, managed to pull of a defender and placed it into the far corner of the net.

    Arsenal:

Utilized mainly on the left wing. Links up well with Van Persie, but has a tendency to dwell on the ball a little too long. Loved by Arsenal fans for his comittment and ability to play an effective and eye-catching piece of football with Robin Van Persie. The two interchange positions and dazzle opponents with some quality movements. However, Suarez does have a tendency to move in front of Van Persie, which sometimes stops attacks. Need time to gel, but are steadily looking like a lethal partnership. Wenger would have caught on to comments on the training pitch and sorted that out.

Is still a diver and cheats his way to freekicks and penalties, but Wenger never sees any of it.

Anyway, I think Suarez is a quality player, but he is as I've noted before missused by the management, as are most players in that Liverpool team.

How/where do you think Suarez should be played?

At the moment i'd probably have Welbeck (because I dislike Suarez as well) because if he could finish he'd be one of the top strikers in England. Welbeck also has about 4 years on Suarez as well.

From what I've seen he is at his best in and around the box. In the tight and crowded spaces around that area. He can pull off a defender, he has the pace and movement to shake off a marker and his runs open up space for his fellow attackers. He needs to face goal as often as possible, run at defences and just be a pain for the defenders, he is certainly technically gifted enough. I just think that he currently drops too deep, too often for Liverpool. Often ending up with his back to the goal trying to play other less tehcnically gifted players through.

More often than not Suarez ends up with very tight angles for a shot, and even though he can pull it off every once and again, he is far more effective through the middle, where that shot-technique that helps him score when he cuts inside, improves his finishing drastically when given a bigger "target" (IMO), and he can even score a couple with his head for good meassure.

Take off your tinted glasses and look at it both ways.

Suarez is also 4 years older but still only 25.Not very old, has 6-8 years in him

Suarez is a lot better than Welbeck and Man United fans without their rose-tinted glasses on will admit that. Bet most of you would much rather have Suarez at United, than Welbeck.

Two different players, two different ages, two different playing styles. Is Suarez technically superior, yes. Does that mean that everyone must therefore want Suarez rather than Welbeck? Not really.
