I must say. This post had me laughing.ResurrectionRooney wrote:It's not trolling to compare two players with similar records. I think we all know why Liverpool fans hate Welbeck, it's because of where he comes from, because of his parents.Jord wrote:Seems the trolls are out in full force tonight.

Re: Welbeck Vs. Suarez
Suarez is a very good player, especially compared to the rest of his team mates, but Welbeck is a more effective and better all-round player. Although Suarez is quite a bit better technically.

2 different types of strikers..
I think they would do well in a partnership.

Even though Suarez has been poor this season, I still rate him better.

Re: Welbeck Vs. Suarez
drive have you ever thought that Uruguay's opponents might be poorer than Permiership teams? Especially in defence. Argentina's for example was shambolic at the Copa, Chile had Vidal or Medel in their back three if I remember correctly and the Premiership defending is better in general. I do think though a part of it is as you said that Urugay have better players, you're bound to do better with Cavani or Forlán next to you in place of Carroll or Kuyt.
Eredivise isn't famous for defending either.

I know that.
But the goals are not bigger or something in South America?
Goalkeepers are still quality in South America.
I just posted the videos for people who doubt his finishing ability

Welbeck scores from a long way out on his Premier league debut against Stoke City.
Luis Suarez' premier league debut, also against Stoke City..needed help from the opposition to score an open goal . I think this proves that Welbeck > Suarez.

Dean Marney on his debut. Scored a great goal from way out, yet where is he now? Fuck knows. Scoring from a long way out on your debut means fuck all.

Re: Welbeck Vs. Suarez
It certainly does, it shows you have potential to become a good player in the Barclays Premier League and Danny Welbeck, unlike this Marney boy has gone on to be a regular starter for the champions of England whereas Luis Suarez is starting for a mid-table club

I don't know what all the hype's about when it comes to Suarez, Yakubu has over twice as many goals in less games and yet Suarez is the one who is world class, the one who gets compared with Lionel Messi.

Aside from the occasional delusional Liverpool fan, who does that?
Anyway, I think Suarez is a quality player, but he is as I've noted before missused by the management, as are most players in that Liverpool team.

Lucas Leiva rates him above Aguero, Neymar, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Tevez and all other South American footballers other than Messi, I'm not even making this shit up.

Re: Welbeck Vs. Suarez
Here is my completely unbiased opinion on the two.
I rate Welbeck VERY highly, I think his movement is fantastic, great work rate, good link up play but he can't finish for shit.
Suarez is one talented cunt, he's got that low centre of gravity and can dip and turn really well but he's one of those players who could score bucket loads in the Eredivisie but not in the EPL, for one reason or another, I think it's the physicality.
Who would I rather have, depends on the role, if I want a second striker definitely Suarez, but if I want an out and out striker it'd be Welbeck.
As for Welbeck turning out to be shit, the lad has everything to be a top striker in the future, he just needs to put away the chances he gets.

Re: Welbeck Vs. Suarez
I do sometimes wish there was a way of viewing alternate realities, to see what Man United fans or Arsenal fans thought of Suarez should he have gone to their club, not Liverpool.
