Reading through the take a bullet thread reminded me that I was pretty close to taking a knifing for someone. 
I was in 8th grade and this dude was trying to start shit with the little homie so I ran up on him and got all in his face. Had no fucking clue he had a knife on him, only realized it after he lifted up his shirt and flashed it at me, but by then I really couldn't back down and continued to get into his face. I was like, "what you think I'm scared? Fuck you, puto, was up?", If I hadn't just taken a leak prior to that I would of probably pissed myself.
Nothing happened though, a mutual friend ended up defusing the situation. He came up to us and was, "what's going on here?" and the guy with the knife was like, "you know this guy? He's cool?" and the mutual friend was, "yeah he's the homie, he's cool, he's cool" and that was that, we did the slap hands thing and we buried the hatchet.
It's funny, I don't remember that mutual friends name anymore(but I think it's Eric) but I can't forget the dude with the knife's name. David Hildago.
