It is clear for everyone to see that Luis Suarez was sincerely distressed by the sight of seeing Scott Parker in pain as a result of an accidental kick to the stomach, we must not let Suarez' past offences cloud our judgement when deciding whether or not he truly intended to make contact with the opponent.

So if a ball is traveling on a certain path, but there is a goalkeeper in the way, does that give the player the right to go with a foot up or charge the keeper?

Suarez didn't expect Parker to get to it.

The scenario you described happens all the time though. Does that means the players purposely try to kick the goalkeeper?

I don't understand how he got it but I can assure you I saw it before the tackle by Skrtel.

Notice how Parker's right leg never moves back after being pushed. If anything Suarez pushes Parker into the path of the ball.

There are 4 things I notice above all else. First his eyes are fixated on the ball, his kick is next to perfectly timed with the trajectory of the ball, when he hits parker his entire body shows signs of surprise (you can't fake that) and he seems to pull his leg back instantly instead of "completing" the kick.

I don't need to prove that he was going to block him, you need to prove that Rooney didn't think McCarthy was going to block him. So go on and do it.

What? No. Rooney is the one who's committed assault. It's up to you to prove that he did it to defend himself.

Look a the way his body reacts when he notices parker. His left hand changes direction, his back arches and his kick is clearly interrupted. If he meant to kick him there's no way these reflexes would have been put in motion.

This is Suarez we are talking about. What player in their right mind would bite a player? What player in their right mind would make an offensive gesture towards fans while already in hot water for making racist comments?

I'm not really arguing whether he did it on purpose or not. I'm arguing the fact that Suarez knew exactly where Parker was. Whether intentional or not, it could very well be viewed as violent conduct.

The push happens in penalty boxes every single match. It's the norm. Man United players do it.

The eye gauge is a classic example of a photo making something look worse than it was. That was when Suarez was desperately trying to get the ball, Parker didn't even hold his eye or go down, so it obviously wasn't a proper eye gauge, otherwise Parker would have felt it.

Look at Luis Suarez' left arm when contact is made with Scott Parker's midriff. It instantly jolts into the air in shock, like when someone jumps out on you or catches you by surprise, it was an involuntary movement, it was so in time with the contact that he just couldn't have done it on purpose.

I'm not saying he did it intentionally but that kick was completed. If the ball was there he would of smashed it just as he did with Parker's ribs.
