I agree he should not have banned but there is no point complaining about it now, the beast is back and he better play down the right on Saturday

The reason Liverpool did not appeal is because the facts provided to back up Evra were irrefutable. Suarez may not be a racist (not that we could know for sure) but he broke the rules and that's that. You can't just say "oh we didn't know we couldn't do that" and get let off

The FA chose to believe Evra over Suarez, over 'probability'. Which is fucking pathetic.
The FA didn't decide this case, and independent commission did. If the decision was so obviously incorrect then an appeal to a different independent commission would almost certainly have been successful.
Also, the balance of probability is what a substantial part of the legal process in this country is based on, and what all FA decisions previous have been based on. Roy Keane was banned twice for his tackle on Haaland on the basis that he probably did it intentionally, was that some kind of injustice? The same for Benjamin Thatcher's assault on Pedro Mendes, then of Portsmouth. Injustice?

Stupid comment to make.
Should have just left it alone. But once again he's showed himself up.

I don't hate Liverpool, just hate Saurez, because he is a prick. Kenny didn't need to say that, he's just bringing it up again when he could just let it go. He served his ban and is back (though should've been sent off last night to be honest) just continue with the season.
I don't get the hate for Parker though.

He's joined Bale on the over rated hate wagon.

I was more annoyed by pleading the fifth tbh. First of all there is no fifth amendment in the UK. Second, the right to avoid self-incrimination does not apply to incriminating others (rather obviously). Third, it's an american refrence, not a british one
But yeah... Who cares what he thinks? Suarez served his suspension without kicking up a fuss, so for my part he's served his punishment and starts on blank slates. Dalglish talks a lot of rubbish, but to be fair Suarez has been fairly dignified in his handling of the event, it's his employer who do weird things, not him.

I said Suarez, not Liverpool.

He hasn't really kicked up a fuss though, he's said one thing out of loads of different stuff in an interview and people are picking up on it

Should never have mentioned it at all. Wasn't even asked about it.

Yeah it is insulting, I had to google it myself because I didn't know either.Jorlung wrote:Wtf C o o n sensors to ice cream?

C o o n
An insulting name for a black person. Similar to 'N i g g e r'.
Black man: "What's up homie?"
White man: "Can't you c o o n's talk proper English?"
Black man: *Shoots White Man*

We could only appeal the length of the ban, not the verdict because the whole thing was such a fucking farce.

No, it is. We weren't able to appeal the decision only the punishment served.

Impossible. Appealing could bring the case to a new instance, which has far more power, and thus capable of overturning the original decision.

It's not impossible, it was not done through a court of law and because of that the FA were able to make their judgement on the length of the ban.

You had 14 days to appeal to a higher instance. If you had you could have argued against the decision and whatever was decided by the independent commission could easily have been irrelevant. Suarez suspension would have been put on hold until the appeal process had been completed.
