Acccording to sky sports, Wenger refused to rule out attempting to extend Henry's loan spell. I'm not sure when the MLS starts back up however so i'm not too sure any attempt would be succesful

    Chamberlain not worthy

What a prospect he is. He is like Walcott only with an end-product and skill on the ball.

If he does extend doesn't that mean his last game is against us?

    Read that somewhere.

Neutral Why is he like Walcott? Because he's mixed race? Because he came from Southampton, as a player he's not like Walcott at all.

As players Chamberlain is naturally an attacking midfielder and Walcott a striker, they're very very different.

Wasn't talking about natural positions, I can definitly see why the two of them are being compared.

And people were jumping the gun saying we overpaid for Oxo-Cube.

Overpaid my ass, if someone like Downing costs £20 million, £12 million for Chamberlain is a steal.

Its a pity for Southampton fans that these players couldn't be kept, but fantastic for us Very Happy Bale, Walcott, Chamberlain ... they could have a great great squad

With Downing as your benchmark very few players have ever been overpriced. Even then, the fact of the matter is that Liverpool will have Downing for his best years and Arsenal probably won't have Chamberlain for his.

Its hardly jumping the gun. A 17 year old costing 12 million, I'm always going to be sceptical.

Being sceptical is one thing, it always comes with the price tag, but some people took it to another level, it's like we paid £12 million for Andy Carroll or something.

As for the best years argument, it's void, Downing may be having his best years at Liverpool but it hardly means those years will be up to the standard you expect. Oxo-cube already surpasses Downing even though he's only played such a small handful of games, and he's not even at his peak.
