Until the City game I'm fairly certain most of your fans wouldn't have said that about Downing, but fair enough. I don't think it's fair to write Carroll completely off without giving him the same ammount of time and chances that Downing had tbh. He's been plagued with a couple of niggling injuries and having to adapt to a completely new style of play. If Jury is out on Downing, I think it would be only fair for it to be out on Carroll as well.
