    This is wrong, I am sure it was an accident from Mario, if you watch back the incident in REAL TIME you see no sign of unnaturalness or intent, its only when you watch super slow-mo that it looks like he kicked out at him, i think he was just keeping his balance and in doing so kicked his foot out towards the ground.
