Darlington's administrators have sacked the club's interim manager Craig Liddle and the remaining playing staff, BBC Tees understands.

    More to follow.

    Woah, sad news.

So is that the end for Darlington?

Sad Been like this for years they've always been in trouble since they moved to that huge ground. I have been to it its a great ground just not for a club like them its more a premier league ground.
I hope they get out of it but i doubt it and they will probably have to make a new club.

Wonder what their ground will be used for? Way too big for Darlington, so it's obviously gonna be too big for an AFC Darlington or Darlo from the Dead FC

One week of Carlos Tevez's wages would have been enough for Darlington to pay their entire squad's wages until the end of the season.

Some scouser posted that on twitter.

I know rich footballers are entitled to their own money and they've earned it but if the whole of the top flight gave 1% of their weeks wage, Darlington could have probably stayed in business for another two years. Neutral

It is ridiculous surely a player could have given up a weeks wage?

No-one should have a club they've supported for years taken away from them.

It would be a nice gesture, but you wouldn't expect the CEO of a company to give away a week of his wages to keep another company from being bankrupt, would you?

It's the club's own fault they they went into administration. They payed £18M for a stadium they couldn't fill.

Well this is all a lot of very bad news it was probably comiong around shortly unless someone with money offered to take them over which was never going to happen. Looks like this club will the next Chester City since they will have to start up new alltogether. Hopefully the new team will get to start up on level 9 in the pyramid.

Such a shame... and as for their ground... a 25,000 seater for a conference club...and their average attendence has been around 1800!!

Hope they'll manage. Well done on the buyer too. Might've saved a football club. That's probably not something you come across every day.

BTW, the girl on the right in your signature with the three girls is freaking hot.
