Darlington have been relegated four divisions to the Northern League Division One on the recommendation of the Football Association.

The Quakers had hoped to enter into the Evo-stik Premier having been told by the Football Conference they would not be admitted entry to the north section.

This is closest thing England has to rival watching Queen's Park play at Hampden Park ( roughly 500 people in a 50,000 seat stadium). It would be interesting to most likely see less than 1,000 fans at a stadium that was meant to hold 25,000 when finished until it went all wrong without proper planning.

I feel bad for finding this funny. Remember Hull's first promotion was started with a 4-1 win at home to Darlington.

Everything seems to get worse for the fans at that club.

Insane how only a matter of seasons ago they were promotion rivals in League 2... feel so sorry for the fans.

They aren't playing at the Arena any more. I think they're trying to get a groundshare with a smaller local team.

Good to know. There fans now own the club I think.

Feel sorry for them, it doesn't seem that long ago when I travelled all the way to Darlo to watch a 0-0 draw in League 2.

I blame the idiot who built the huge stadium for all of this. It was poorly constructed and the team did not the fanbase for that. After that everything started falling apart.
