It's at the Etihad though, I'd back City over most teams at home. Away is a different story though.

I dont really buy into the importance of home/away. Id be more wary of the quality of the team you're playing than the venue, and United are much better than Arsenal.

Look at the last 2 fixtures Man City v Man United: Man United 1-6 Man City, Man City 2-3 Man United.

Yeah City's home record has been very impressive but against United, a derby match i think it is irrelevant.

Maybe, but going scoring first doesn't mean you deserve it. Need to give Spurs credit, after you scored they were the better team for most of the remainder and deserved to get back in it. Against a smaller team I'd agree...City have the quality to hold them out and should do...but against Spurs you can't take a 2 goal lead and settle for it.

I wouldn't say City had many more good chances other than the penalty...but by then Spurs had squandered "that chance" which really they should have scored.

Arsenal are who we thought they were.. and Arsene doesn't plan on changing a thing.

Really thought we had a chance.. it's disappointing that our sloppy ass defending let us down.. once again. fluke goals

Yes, it's all bullshit, all of it, it's the same way as how if you're flipping a coin you might get heads 4 or 5 times in a row, it doesn't mean you're more likely to get heads in the next game. Of course, quality of the team also comes into it, but that's all, "form" itself is a confusion of cause and effect. A team wins several games in a row because they have a lot of quality or a lot of luck, the former invariably continues into the next game, the latter does only occasionally.

    I wouldn't say that.

In Championship playoffs usually the in form teams are the ones who do better.

I dunno, I think confidence is a big factor, if you keep winning games then you're going to have more belief running through the team.

It helps the players psychologically i guess, which is a massive boost. I know a lot of it is down to the quality of the team itself, but having a good mentality always helps.

That 'form' has very little impact on subsequent matches, it's not just derby matches.

Why would I? I don't follow the League. Perhaps some teams tire towards the end of the season, attributing it to psychology is just bullshit though, unfortunately it's become very popular bullshit. That surprises me very much, as most 'experts' who talk about psychology had no qualifications in that area.

This game was a lot like 07/08 at the Emirates, Valencia scored on the stroke of half time, as did Rooney (Gallas O.G), then Arsenal equalised, then we got a pretty late goal with Ronaldo, and Gallas scored in the last minutes, thought it was going to be a repeat.

No, but isn't it common sense? I'm sure you've experienced it yourself, the fact that you are winning puts you in a good mindset and boosts confidence.
