Perhaps some teams tire towards the end of the season, attributing it to psychology is just bullshit though, unfortunately it's become very popular bullshit. That surprises me very much, as most 'experts' who talk about psychology had no qualifications in that area.Lux wrote:
Do you have any to say it doesn't?
.....generally speaking I know that no team has been in bad form and won the play offs. Why? Because I follow the league ... Either they are solid throughout and finish 3rd or they climb up right at the end. If you need "evidence" then go and check yourself.
It's not really psychology. In the Championship there are 46 games....not many teams will be consistent.
Example....in 07/08 Watford had just come down and in the first part of the season we were 8 points ahead in the league....everyone had us down as dead certs to win. In 08 cue absolutely shit form and only just scrape 6th because we had 1 better goal difference. Who goes and wins?....Hull who were in really good form at the end of the season, climbing up to 3rd.
The season is long....those who are in the best form coming up to the play offs are most likely to do well. Never seen a team in poor form win the play offs.
