Zzonked. I'm gonna try out a different approach with a 5 man defence, basically 3-4-1-2, like Roma 2000 under Capello. I think the 2 wide men in the 5-4-1 could be more effective if one is an extra striker (you'd have 2 strikers occupying a 2 man centre back pairing) and one behind them which would work well against a 4-4-2 due to no natural holding midfielder.

The free men on the pitch if it was up against a straight 4-4-2 would be 1 centre back on my team, and the oppositions 2 full backs. I reckon good wing backs would be needed for this though because they'll be looking after the flanks on their own.

Lonergan just knocked me out of the Carlin Cup. Had 60% possession and 23 shots and didn't score. Mad

I can get Jack Wilshere on a free transfer in 2014.

What the fuck has this game come to. I'm just going to ignore that because that seriously does my tits in, plus he's in the fucking reserves.

End of my 3rd year with the Swans! Here's how it went.

Managed to secure 5th, secured it on the last game with an unlikely home win v City. Wasn't a million miles off 4th either, so that's my target for next year.

    Here's the player stats.

The Football Manager Chat Thread! - Page 19 Picture2tvh

and here's my transfer dealings on the year. I'm a bit of a wheeler dealer, I sold Sturridge at the end for 5m to Newcastle, he didn't really perform me. Leigh Griffiths was much better.

Fulham were relegated, so I might try and poach a few of their players. They've got a few good ones, Joe Ledley is one and Neal Eardley are two, I'm always looking to get Welsh players.

    Because City sold him. shifty

Fergie, Dalglish and Redknapp all retired at the same time. I'm linked for the United job along with other top class managers such as Gary Megson. Laughing

I don't like to go to fully established clubs, the only one I'd consider is Spurs.

I got £13m budget, that's rubbish. I may have to leave.

Liverpool isn't a fully established club, you could win the league for the first time in 20 years. shifty

Because I was bored out of my mind I tried a Liverpool save (and because I wanted to beat the odds and keep the job).

Anyway 3 seasons in, and yes they kept me on for 3 whole seasons, this is my team:

    Reina
Azpilicueta -- Agger -- Kjær -- Jose Enrique
    Lucas -- Bender
Hazard -- Silva -- Di Maria
    Pazzini/Suarez/Carroll

Carroll is surprisingly good. Injured too much to be a real threat, but when he does play he's basically Fernando Llorente... His uselessnes in the first season has sort of made me prefer Pazzini...

Welbeck is so loyal on this game. Been loaning him out to Norway for the past 3 seasons, where he's ripping the league apart and making Ole Gunnar Solskjær look absolutely brilliant, hasn't complained even for a second.

Or should I get both? I have no good upcoming rightbacks.

Riha is for free, and Drobnak's club wants 500k. I have money to spend though.
