    It is a term of endearment between black people. In Australia people of Greek, Italian, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Maltese, Lebanese and Turkish etc all call each other "ice cream" even though 50 years ago if an Aussie called you a ice cream you'd beat the fuck out of him. Nowadays even my aussie mates call me a ice cream, and we take pride in it.

    Black people just havent accepted being called "n_ggers" by anyone they can't say it back to

    The fact that Evra frowned upon usage of the word and said he'd never use it himself.

    It's contradiction, and it queries his real motives behind the Suarez race row.

    To the FA, he's painted a picture of himself as being someone above usage of the word.
