He's stupid at times, but his observations are different from a complete idiot. They are unique, as I said.
Being stupid isn't a new thing in comedy anyway. There have been a lot of successful dopey characters in the past, it's nothing to do with how this generation has changed.
There's tons.
Rodney from Only Fools and Horses, Frank Spencer, 3 stooges, pretty much every slapstick comic had an element of dopiness, that's dating back to the silent films era. Stupidity is synonymous with comedy when you think about it. I bet it even dates back to court jesters and shit.
I'm not arguing with Pip or Glenny though, because I'm aware they just dislike popular things for the sake of it.

I could start perceiving most of this forum as an act if I had any interest in doing so.

I addressed that at the end of my last post.
I just like posting my observations.

As are the majority of members on here.
He's not broken character once yet, methinks that's quite impressive.

People being stupid (intentionally or otherwise) can be funny. Whether or not people are laughing with them or laughing at them, they're still laughing.

Yeah fo sho. Gonna start after new year though.
My first one is going to be an actual book though, because I already bought it and need it for my course, bit anti-climatic after just getting a kindle.
