I do find it funny how certain members here trivialised the issue of racism, assumed it had no more impact than the mocking of gingers, now because it's a certain player they are villified and take the high and mighty approach? Please.

What does someone have to do to classify themselves as a scumbag in your books? I see him as someone who was an exceptional man but is going down and dragging his team with him.

Ferguson is not a pleasant man, but Luis Suarez is a cancer to English football.

He is an exceptional manager no doubt, but his antics off the pitch are the true cancer to English football. Not Suarez.Theo Filippo wrote:What does someone have to do to classify themselves as a scumbag in your books? Just noticed how brave John Terry is getting treated by the media. Typical.

Where
I've seen a report saying that Chelsea refused to wear John Terry T-Shirts, despite support from all the players, but I wouldn't say papers have been supporting John Terry.
I think there has been more coverage of what has been happening surrounding Suarez and Terry, rather than anything about Terry or Suarez themselves......

Brave John Terry, willing himself on. A shining example of professionalism and determination.

I don't think that article is too nice to him.
It tells it as it is....for all the negativity Terry has had.....especially at the ground itself....he played really well and blocked it all out.
The article tries to focus more on how Terry is staying focused on football....than talking about the racist stuff.
Is there really anything wrong with that? I think some people will keep harassing Terry......but it's his job and duty to go out and there and put in a good performance.....and if he does that under such high pressure then it's fair enough to be praised for his professionalism....even if it may have been lacking at times.

What do you mean Ferguson is not a pleasant man? He has time for any manager he comes across and has been an absolute professional in the game for over 40 years. Ferguson is a man anyone within the game could aspire too.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Lus Suarez wrote:Ferguson is a scumbag is he not? I am sure you of all people would agree with me.

His treatment of Roy Keane, his totalitarian regime at United, his treatment of journalists and Man Utd fans and the way he caused the Glazers to come into my football club and either A) Lies to us every week about how the Glazers are giving him money or B) Continuing with an arrogant and outdated transfer strategy that is dragging MUFC downhill.

Re: Suarez banned for eight games.
Are you talking about Roy Keane's exit from the club? He deserved it. Treatment of what journalists? How has he treated Man Utd fans badly? He didn't "cause" the Glazers to come in, they showed interest. Since the Glazers bought your club you have been to 3 champions league finals! Yeh lies to to you about having no money brb spent £50M+ in the summer.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Chris wrote:

Saying Ferguson is an unpleasant man is completely the opposite to what all the people who have actually met him say, idiotic comment.

No, I'm talking about his snarky comments when Keane criticised the team in his capacity as a TV pundit, I'm talking about sending letters demanding an apology after he spoke about his exit, I'm talking about portraying Keane as an enemy of the club in programme notes.
Journalists - he refused to attend mandatory press conferences for years, tried to get a journalist banned for asking a question about Ryan Giggs prior to the 2011 CL Final, refused to speak to the BBC for about a decade because they did a documentary exposing his son, he refused to speak to the media in March. This ties in with his poor treatment of the fans - this man is the manager of our football club, we want to hear what he has to say.
He caused the Glazers to come in because he drove Magnier and McManus out over a legal dispute over a horse that was impossible for him to win because of his own pride. M&M sold up to the Glazers as a result.
His net spend since the Glazers came in is lower. He's either managing very very poorly over the last few years, dragging the side down, or he has very little money. The last CL Final is a non-issue, we got that because Chelsea went downhill quicker than we did. The previous two were achieved with a very high net spend, and a £40m in the squad who we hadn't paid for, once we jettisoned Ronaldo the net spend plummeted and we went downhill sharply because Ferguson replaced him and Tevez with Obertan, Owen, Diouf and Valencia.

Ive heard that Fergie is not a very pleasant man and if you get on the wrong side of him he can be a fucking cunt, But what he has done for your club and the 37 honours or so he has brought them should never be forgotten whatever people think of him. And whatever things he has done, he is a Manchester United and football legend and you are full of complete and utter shit. Merry Christmas

Res none of them things you said even if true do not make him an "unpleasant man". Suarez is an unpleasant man who bites people and does disgusting things.

Yes that is very true, but its just a few things ive heard over the years inside and outside the football world from certain people who have also met Fergie and knew him or knew off him even when he was up in Scotland. But i cant say for certain i dont know the man but he is a winner and has the will to win second to none.Chris wrote:Res none of them things you said even if true do not make him an "unpleasant man".
