PSG are supposedly going to try and get a deal done by the end of this upcoming weekend, but it isn't looking good for them at the moment.

Inter met their valuation but couldn't agree personal terms, Milan agree personal terms but can't meet the valuation. What a mess.

20m euros for Tevez is a bargain in the current transfer market. No wonder we turned it down.

Well considering he doesn't do anything other than cost you money and morale, I don't think you should be holding out for too much more. €25M perhaps.

ahlycotc wrote:How much did City pay for Tevez?

    Reportedly £47M. Realistically ~£30M.

    Maxwell: Barca to PSG.
Jonathan: Inter > Parma (loan with an option to buy)

Alex wants to leave Chelsea and Wesley wants to leave Werder Bremen but we don't have any money. :wall2:

What type of transfer is Maxwell's? Loan or full transfer? If full, how much?

As for Tevez, City should accept the bid. He isn't going to play for them anyways. They might as well get €20M.

He cost £25m I think that inflated price may have included all his wages for the length of his contract. We're not holding out because we're going to keep him, we're holding out because he's worth more. I reckon one of the Milans will eventually meet the asking price, it's just about who blinks first really.

Tevez is a stunning player, they'd be very lucky to get him. Some of the stuff he did towards the end of last year was breathtaking.

PSG will be great in a few year but It's kind of a shame because the Champions league will just turn into a battle of the rich clubs.

That's what we should have done but the issue is a lot more complicated. You can't imagine how much pressure the president would have been under if he had sold him, especially before the club's centenary year. Signing Neymar up to that improved deal in Nov/Dec basically won him the presidential election. Rationale and long term planning didn't really come into the decision unfortunately.

Btw, a significant part of his wages is paid by outside investors.

True, but you still had to close down the women's team (which has been relatively successful), downsize parts of the club (or so I've heard), and stuck a lid on your spending to afford the wage hike. I can understand the pressure, plenty of powerful people who wants him to become the next Pelé, but it honestly doesn't make financial or sporting sense. If Neymar really wanted to stay, and love the club as much as he claims he wouldn't put the club in that position IMO.

Obviously if we miss selling him this window that will be significant, however like I said we've got no desire to keep him, we're just trying to raise the price.

20m euros is a bargain for a player that hasn't touched a football in months. I'm not sure why you guys are rejecting that. I doubt you'll get much more in the summer, unless it's the sheiks of Malaga or PSG bidding for him at that time.

Galliani is in Manchester right now trying to negotiate a new offer.

Of coures they do. These investors just give money to Santos to pay his wages with. Ronaldinho is on a similar deal I believe.

Oh right, I was curious, as there's lots of dodgy third parties that own rights to players. Like Tevez + Mascherano were. Run
