So when (Cahill --> someone, Wilman Conde --> NYRB) Tim Ream moves to Bolton, he will make more in a week at Bolton (£45k) than he did in a year at NYRB (£35k).

I actually don't think it's a bad signing at all. Only time will tell.

Apparently it is Bolton who are the closet to agreeing a fee with Hoilett.

I would seriously pissed off if this deal went through.

Barca are supposedly in for Jordi Alba, Valencia. I think there's a big chance of this transfer actually happening, as Jordi is Catalan and started out with Barca. Valencia are supposedly in for Depor's fullback, Colotto, who's out of contract at the end of the season.
Valencia keep getting robbed off their star players. Villa, Silva, Mata, Albiol, possibly Jordi now, possibly Soldado (Chelsea, linked), possibly Rami (Man U, Inter, linked), possibly Banega (Real Madrid, linked). Imagine if they all had stayed and all will stay. They'd be challenging for the title.

Can only see Tiote going there, which I doubt will happen either now that they have Romeu (Think that is how you spell it). Don't think Krul will go for a while and Ba will be off to PSG. At least there was no mention of Cabaye
We have had a bid rejected for Morrison. Wanted us to sign him initially, then realised we have just got rid of all our pricks (well, technically still have Ranger) so bringing in another one would be quite annoying.

Valencia are the saddest story in La Liga. I do agree that with all those players, they would be on a similar level to Madrid. It is too bad that the Spanish superpowers are afraid of domestic competition and do everything they can to keep other teams average or less.

On a side note, I have always had one question about wages.
Here in N.A we don't talk about wages on a weekly basis rather we talk about salary on a yearly basis.
Lets say a player makes 80,000 a week, is that over 52 weeks for the whole year so something like 4.1 million a year, or do they only get paid for the weeks in the football season?

Definitely but they have loads of debts and won't be able to hold on on their star players, Rami, Alba and Banega won't be there anymore in two years if they keep playing well, could see Soldado stay a bit longer thoughJK wrote:Barca are supposedly in for Jordi Alba, Valencia. yeah but it's a Turkish name
Anyway, Galatasaray made a bid for Shaqiri believed to be in the region of 7m pounds. Shaqiri said he would consider it and Basel want about 12m.
Hope he doesn't go to Galatasaray, would be off the radar in Turkey and I don't think he will develop well there. He should go to a big club, I can also see him as a Reus replacement at Mönchengladbach, their coach is Swiss as well.

Surely he is better than those teams mentioned? What about Sanchez' replacement at Udinese?

Possibly not, depends. Why?

Will still be good to support him when he completes his £15million move to Man Utd.
Doing what I have always said he can.
