It's not the best of comparisons, considering Xavi usually plays a lot deeper than Silva does. Silva vs Iniesta would be better, although in both instances, Silva is nowhere near the level of either of them.

I don't really follow Barca that much but when Cesc signed for Barca, alot of their fans were saying Xavi's injury's are quickly eating away his career etc.
