City has no chance of progressing. Napoli is not going to lose to Villareal.

True, but this is assuming Cavani doesn't want to play in the champions league knockout stages. Villareal has nothing to play for, Napoli can reach the knockout stages for the first time since El Diego reigned. They aren't going to fuck this up.

City have a chance, although Napoli will win so their efforts will be for nothing.

Manchester City to lose, by about two goals. This'll also weaken their confidence, which will give Chelsea a better chance against them at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

They're playing Stuttgart next so they didn't need to rest anyone.

Bayern have secured qualification, so why should they play their strongest team?
