Re: Spartacus (Starz series)
Interesting... Don't think Julius had much involvement with Spartacus' war. He wasn't politically relevant at the time and IIRC was in Greece throughout the Third Servant War. They are going to be making stuff up I guess?

Re: Spartacus (Starz series)
I want them to make it up. Last thing this show needs is a final scene of Spartacus and his fellow men being crucified.
I'd spoiler that, but fuck that when it's history.
As long as Caesar was alive during that time, I can deal with it.

None of the key commanders were crucified. At least that's what we can deduce from the source material that's available.
Also, it doesn't help that guys like Appian, Plutarch and Livy were born long after the Third Servile War had ended.

Think it's ok now to post stuff
By the way, was there any info on which episode the new character would be shown?

Re: Spartacus (Starz series)
- Spoiler:
- Glad Ilythia didn't die. And any of Spartacus' amazing trio he took with him. Was debating on who I could best let die, but let's face it. Gannicus, Agron, Krixus, they are all exceptional. The Egyptian is scary, took down the God Krixus himself. I'm placing a bet on Doctore to finish him. Seriously, how awesome would that be?

- Really want to see him back in action.
Wonder what path Illythia will take after this. She's too cute to stay bad.

- Hope the lost eye doesn't impair Oenomaus' fighting skills, would make him even more badass.
Great episode, so much fighting.

Re: Spartacus (Starz series)
Bright side, soon as it finishes, Game of Thrones starts. Once that finishes, we survive until next January/Feb and the joy starts again.
- Spoiler:
- Batiatus was the master of deceit.
One thing seems certain, Lucretia will kill Ashur or at least bring upon his demise. The Egyptian, now he overcame Oenamaeus, I think either Spartacus or Gannicus will kill him in really brutal fashion.
Credit to Liam, he's fit into his role quite well.

- Fantastic episode. Illythia , Feel kinda bad for Sepia though, she has been taken advantage of ever since we saw her naked body.

Re: Spartacus (Starz series)
It's a prerequisite for women on this show, getting naked. Only notable one I can remember that didn't, was Varro's wife.

It's all set up really well. But it's ended a bit too soon.
How many seasons will this last? I want as many as possible, fuck repetition.

Credit to Liam for fitting in Andy's part really well, thought the show would be way too odd to enjoy without him but he's done really well.

I have no idea. Hopefully it lasts at least another two seasons.

Re: Spartacus (Starz series)
So, don't click this unless you've watched the finale.
- Spoiler:
- That was amazing, yet saddening. I have lost many favourites. Mira, who is ridiculously hot, dead. Doctore, who lent so much nobility to the show, dead. Lucretia, dead. Spartacus' child, dead. Ashur, dead. But get this, Ilythia, dead. Saw an interview from tv line where the director says she is dead, and regrets not making it so clear. I am really going to miss her, wonder where the actors will go in the future.
On the brighter side, Spartacus is moving up. Julius Caesar and Marcus Crassus next season. And he still has that insanely good trio with him of Krixus, Gannicus and Agron. Spartacus completely bossed the Egyptian at the start. Possibly means that he is head and shoulders above the rest. But Gannicus' takedown of the Egyptian was insane. He should be the best pure fighter in the pack. And none of those four better die too soon. I am too attached.
That was equal bits chilling and exhilarating. Tremendous finale.

Re: Spartacus (Starz series)
- Spoiler:
- That was amazing. So many died though, Lucretia, Oenamaus, Mira, Glaber, Asher.. Really sad about Lucretia and Oenamaus who were my favourite characters in the series The scene with Oenomaus dying in Gannicus' hands was hard to take in The invasion from Spartacus' army was epic, I loved everything about it. There has to be a season 4 with the way it ended and the words Gaius told Spartacus...All of Rome will be after them? Did anyone else see that Gannicus didn't seem too much pleased with Spartacus' speech? I don't think he'll help them any more now that Oenamaus has died and he was the only reason why he wanted to help Spartacus. Lucretia dying, I'm disappointed but I kind of expected it because she's..Unstable, I wonder how Ilithyia will do now, she's lost her child and her husband.. Already can't wait for season 4
Edit: Ilithyia died too? Wtf?
