We were a lot better going forward than we have been for ages, it wasn't a poor performance, just poor at the back.

Not stand there like a lemon. Just swing a boot at it, take the player and the ball.
It was poor. Crossing, where we're usually great was probably our worse for a long time. The only decent ball put it was the one in the last minute which their defender put out for a corner.

Jones was giving him dodgy back passes all game, can't really blame De Gea.

Depends who we'd get in the last 16. Barcelona/Madrid then we're finished.Burytilidie wrote:

They were the only good ones, seriously.
All the others were quite wank to be perfectly honest.
I just thought the whole performance lacked urgency. The attack was just as bad as the defence at times. It was more frustrating to watch knowing what the players are capable of

Yeah, but you'd said the only good cross in was late on, when both our goals had come from good crosses.moscowmadeit3 wrote:Danny wrote:How about the crosses for both our goals?

What about Fabio's cross that lead to Berbamiss.moscowmadeit3 wrote:Danny wrote:How about the crosses for both our goals?

But look at the other crosses though. Just find it frustration that they were over hit or hit straight at a Benfica players.
Evra and Nani was probably our best players tonight
Valencia, Young and Berbatov I thought were rather disappointing
O well, let's fuck Basel up. Carrick can't play in it though so I expect Rooney will be in midfield.

i dont know why you are complaining about crosses, ofcourse majority will be poor if they werent teams would score 20 goals every game
its not like players make bad crosses on purpose..

Our Champions League campaign has been piss poor this season Seriously getting annoyed with these lackluster performances. We're crying out for a CM and the one which has shown the most promise and creativity is out until christmas.

Didn't say it was
Our crosses are usually great though, just felt they were quite awful today. Except from the two goals, they were mostly over hit and didn't trouble the Benfica defence.
Another note, why are our corners always crap? We need to work on them. Before someone says "but we scored one against Liverpool" we rarely get a decent one in there, been like it for the last 3 seasons

We're still going to face quality opposition if we're 1st or 2nd.
