My friend, it was far from a 1 on 1, it was a challenging and difficult volley from a ball that didn't have much pace on it. If anything, Berbatov got too good a contact on the ball. He was technically too good. If it was Rooney he would have most probably shinned it or thigh'd it with poor tecnhique and had it trickle into the goal

My friend, please do not single out Berbatov, had it not been for defensive lapses that finsih would not have been required and Dimitar Berbatov recieved man of the match award
