So he's been charged despite not actually being found guilty?

I'm very shocked, but if they have found a reason for it, then he should be banned, still not quite sure what's going on tbh, why has it taken them so long? And still it doesn't feel like we're being told he's guilty.

They are probably going to release an official document of what's happened quite soon but you have to ask.. why would they charge him if they had found him innocent?

Obviously getting a number of lip readers, going through all the footage etc could take some time then a committee to come up with a verdict and punishment etc can take a while.

Maybe they're only saying this so it gives Suarez a chance to answer their claims before they brand him a racist.

at the people saying Suarez will be banned, Dont get your hopes up as its not going to happen unless they can prove it. which once again, they cant.

I don't think we should start taking sides in this even after the FA charge. I'm still kinda confused about what's going on but i don't think the FA would charge him without having conclusive evidence.

FA must have some conclusive evidence in order to charge him. They aren't stupid enough to charge someone without evidence, surely ?

I would post a link to when Evra got charged with the Chelsea stuff a couple of years ago but i cant, but yes they can charge anyone they want, they just need evidence to ban someone, which they dont have.

Doubt Suarez will get a ban. What it will do is damage Suarez's name, something Evra and Ferguson set out to do from the start.

Good. We need to get rid of this sort of thing in scoiety, not just football. Punishing offenders is the right step to doing so.

They might be hoping Suarez does a very uncharacteristic thing and shows honesty. On the other hand they have to be seen as fighting racism, an accusation's been made, they can't do anything other than present the charge, it would be a PR nightmare if people thought that they were brushing it under the carpet.

You know what I meant, I just can't word it right, I didn't expect them to say anything about it that will be interpreted as conclusive until they have reached a final decision.
