Re: Game of Thrones Thread
Reading the book.....I miss Ned. I feel like Robb is a true heir to his father, shows the same characteristics. As does Jon in fairness. Hopefully the Starks don't fade away, because so far, the confrontation has been between Stannis and Renly, the victor probably taking on the Lannisters. Robb's army is still that wildcard. He did say he doesn't want the throne, but who knows.

Also, "I am loyal to my beloved Joffrey!"
I agree in season one, she was a dumb bitch.
But she is being held prisoner now. She has to say that she's loyal to Joffrey, or faces being punished in whatever way.
Maid wise...maybe but the maid was being dumb....and she's obviously stressed out etc.
yeah I know she has to say it but I find her voice very annoying when she does it.

Ser Barristan hasn't been around this season, the captain of the king's guard, who was fired by the dick. Supposedly the best swordsman in the seven kingdoms, and now with a grudge. Must re-appear surely.

Isn't Jaime Lannister the best swordsman in the seven kingdoms? I see Ser Barristan is quite old now.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
Well, between them two then.
In fairness, Eddard gave Jaime a pretty damn good fight, and the latter didn't get the upper hand by himself. Pity really, I always expected Ned to be the one to end Jaime. Robb and Jon aren't too shabby either, I'd imagine.
Then there's the knight of the flowers, Renly's partner. Also exceptionally skilled in combat. Going past that, the Mountain and the Hound are beasts.

Finally caught up, bitches. Now I can come into this thread without having to be wary of spoilers.
When are the new episodes released, by the way? Do they release a new one every week on a specific day?

In the series Cersei says that when Robert and her had a child, he died of miscarriage. In the books she says that she had an abortion, wonder why the writers changed this...

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
If you have the DVD/HBO Go in the special features section during the episode 2, when Cersei is with Cat while she is at Bran's bedside, she tells the story about how her first born with Robert died of fever (or some shit), one of the writers explains that the scene was used to establish a sort of motherly connection.
Highly doubt they'd change that because of religion.

Plus since she's evil, an abortion would add to the heat.
