It's time for Mourinho to fulfil his destiny, destroy his mentor and defeat his adversary.

Fair point to an extent. I'm happy to say that my - and others - level of interest in people we've never met and can't really relate to kicking a ball around a field or managing the teams is weird and irrational, maybe as much as religion is, maybe it fills the same psychological need. That said, that it's weird and irrational isn't really why I hate religion, religion makes amazing claims for itself (without evidence) to have truths about the universe, it tells you how to live your life and, more importantly, how other people should live their lives.
Religion when taken as seriously as most fans take football - talk about it a bit, think that some of the characters involved are great and others are arseholes, maybe travel around on the odd pilgrimage - I don't really have a problem with it. It only becomes an issue for me when people start using it as justification to infringe on the freedoms of others - be that through banning abortions, cutting people's hands off, interfering with scientific progress or ending / extending people's lives against their will.

Will probably be Monday due to the NYSE. Interestingly enough Manchester United Vs. Chelsea is on December 28th.

Did you actually ever think van Gaal was a good manager or was it all just posturing? He's been this shite since he joined so I can't see what's happen now to enlighten you.

Not at all, I did and do think he is a good manager, I think appointing him as the right call, it's not working at United and there are better managers available now. I think his arrogance has fucked him at United, he has ripped big holes in the squad because he thinks if he can fill it with players who will obey his every instruction we will be successful.
I think he drastically overestimates how much positive influence a manager can have - even if you are a tactical mastermind getting rid of Angel Di Maria to play Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard will not make you a stronger team. Same applies to selling players like Evans, Hernandez and Nani and replacing them with shit cunts like McNair, Borthwick Jackson and Nick Powell. He had a tremendous batch of youngsters at Ajax and again at Bayern Munich, but that doesn't mean it's appropriate to use them as important squad members.
Since seeing the day before the Wolfsburg game when I saw the disgrace of a squad we were taking out there I've been thinking he might be doing more harm than good and that it might be worth rolling the dice again. With Mourinho being available though it's not even a question for me, even if he turns it around and wins the league this season I would still support the idea of firing him and appointing Mourinho. If the best manager in the world is available you should go for him unless you've got someone very close to that level.

Would you prefer Guardiola or Mourinho? Granted the former is going to City, but hypothetically.

On a serious note, at this point the Moyes-van Gaal debate is pretty close. More points, more goals, less spent, better football played and still in the CL.

The question of the week; will van Gaal leave via mutual consent or get sacked?

Can anyone explain how that Shaqiri goal could possibly be intentional? It looks like a 100% mishit cross. I've not seen a single argument to the contrary that isn't bollocks.

For me a good weekend this season consists of Kane not scoring.
That's how bad it's become.

When I saw the result, I spent the duration of my time watching the highlights praying that I wouldn't have to see that Kane scored one of the three.

Re: 2015/16 Premier League
Martin Tyler did the game as well. He's screams over every Spurs half chances were bad enough, had Kane scored it would have topped his Martial vs Liverpool commentary for cringe.
I don't even really dislike Kane personally tbf. As a player it's not like he's carrying Spurs so I don't hate him in that regard, and as a person he seems like a harmless mouth breather (for now). My hatred is for the massive narrative/wankfest that surrounds him.

Such a satisfying game. The way Spurs bottled it and then kept scything down Chelsea players in frustration was very enjoyable.

Re: 2015/16 Premier League
This win will never make sense to me. On paper the only player they have who I think is above average is Mahrez. I don't know whether I should trust my gut feeling that they will finish outside of the top 6 next season.
