Well the Egyptian PM visited Gaza which caused Israel to enter a temp cease fire. But it was later broken (it's not clear which side strikes first). Israel is also trying to broker a longer or permanent cease fire through Egypt.

Turkey also sent officials to Gaza.

All the OPEC and Arab nations should put an embargo on the US and Israel. That will send out a clear message.

Tunisia just sent some officials to Gaza.

Israel has decided to call up 75,000 soldiers from their reserves.

There a very slight chance this could be the beginning of WW3 but I highly doubt it. It would require an Arab nation to enter war. That will draw in USA, Iran, and possibly Russia. It will snowball from there.

American has a large jewish population. Presidents have to back israel because of the swing states having large jewish populations. Can't say a word against Israel or you are an anti-semtic.

That's a good quote.

But it seems to be that each time these battles flare up, it's because the Israelis reach their boiling point of having rockets launched daily at their civilians.

The people shouldn't have elected Hamas, a terrorist organization, to run their country and parliament.

Those oil-rich Arab nations like their guns so that won't be happening any time soon. And they also hate Iran which is why they love doing business with the US.

An embargo wouldn't do what it did in the early 70s. We get twice as much oil from Canada than we do from Saudi Arabia, for instance.

Israel have been taking over Palestine for the whole of last century and continue to discretely so idiots like yourself are led to the opinion that Israel is a victim when Palestine fight back.

It's not even guaranteed to be "their civilians" anyway with the likely hood of a lot of the population being ethnically Palestinian

very sketchy stuff. I don't agree with their methods but just because israel and america say they are terrorists do not make them so. I would argue that they are just as much terrorists as the Israeli government.

I'm pretty sure they gave up and separated from that when they came a 'political organization'.

but i don't get the point of this. I don't want to defend hamas and say they are knights but i won't let people simplify this issue to "they started it". It's not a simple as one side to stop firing rockets.

There is no good guy here as much as people want it so.

Religion is such a ridiculous concept. They need to chill the fuck out before it escalates out of control. December 21st is coming pretty fast, could this be what starts it.

No, Israel started it this time. They start it most times. The media only has a memory span of a week or so. That's why you get people saying "well they are just defending themselves from the rockets".

Also, the reason people hate on Israel, isn't because they are attacking Gaza. It's because of the scale of the attack compared to the weak rockets of Hamas. Also, Israel continues to keep Palestinians in an open-air prison, so it's Hamas is just "defending itself" too.

And all this is just a dirty political move. Israel has elections in January and the Prime Minister of Israel is getting some beef from his conservative party for not taking a hard stance against Palestinians. He is just attacking to gain votes.
