Why did you admire them in a debate we were having about him playing in the deep midfield role then... you mong.

Because talking about Gerrard for England reminded me of that game.

Also, we were 1-0 down, then Lampard was hauled off, Gerrard took the game by the scruff of the neck and banged 2 in.

Thats what everyone is saying.. rather have him play forward because playing central midfield Lampard is better.

With Lampard out injured however I am happy to have him playing there. I've always liked Gerrard.

I get what you're saying, Chris. I just personally think Hodgson has chosen Gerrard for a reason as he suits the style of play and formation that he is setting up this English team to do. Lampard going in Gerrards place and moving him onto the wing fucks up everything on my opinion.

Maybe a 4-2-3-1 could of worked though..

This isn't the can Gerrard and Lampard play together debate anymore because they are not next to each other. Gerrard has his preferred attacking role and Lampard has the deep midfield role which he is excellent in.

So who starts up front today for England? I hope Welbeck gets the nod.

I feel it will be Welbeck. I wouldn't mind either him or Carroll to be honest but in a game such as this it would probably be more effective if we have someone who can run at the French defence, which is where they're most vulnerable.

This will be 3-2 to England.

Last 10 minutes will be very exciting. It will involve Ashley Young. You heard it here first.

If we lose it will be like this:


France open up with a fantastic barrage attacks, quick passing and good runs.

Ribery will score and we will feel sad

Roy will look angry and before we know it Cabaye shoots from 30 yards and scores a screamer

The score will stay 2-0 until the last 15 minutes where Andy Carroll and Defoe will come on

Andy Carroll will dominate in the air and Defoe will look super sharp and we will score

We wonder why we didn't start with these two players and eventually the game will be over

For once England has like no pressure as everyone expects them to be absolutely crap, maybe they will surprise.
