I think the other two made it back to safety, kept expecting something to grab them, but nothing clear.

I know, my heart skipped a beat when the third blow rang out. Massive 'oh shit' moment. As of now, those rangers are fucked.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
Sam? Who knows. Probably because it was the finale and they writers didn't want to do anything quite yet. [Even though when the camera pans out it doesn't even look as though the whitewalker could see Sam behind the rock.]
The whole time Sam was on the ground, standing and looking at random shit.. I was just like.. "RUN YOU FUCKING TWAT!"
Those zombies are slow as hell.. I'm sure he would have gotten away from them.

The White walkers are insanely fast though, caught up with the guys in the season 1 premiere quite easily.

Are all of those whitewalkers or just the ones on horses?

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
Horses. The ones one foot all looked like zombies, as in dead people raised by dark magic. What I want to know, is who the bloody hell is behind the magic? Sense it will be a while before we find out.

Maybe there's another king, one for the others.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
I don't know, there's already a king north of the wall...Mance Raydar. I have no idea how far north, north of the wall goes, but I feel there's only room for one king. Perhaps it's the Whitewalkers themselves that have conjured up this dead raising magic, but you would wonder who are behind the Whitewalkers, because I still think of them as creatures, not capable of orchestrating an invasion by themselves.
Could just be a case of old magic that has a will of its own.

It's nothing massive, doesn't really change much. I'm a big spoiler-phobe and I didn't have a problem with finding out about it.

N, stop giving off clues. By that I can already eliminate one potential foe.

By saying "I should have known", it means its someone we already know.
Anyway, don't reply to this. Talk to the hand.

That just changes everything. Not sure if the show's even worth watching anymore. Can't believe he of all people would do that. Such a bombshell.

[spoiler]I thought it was pretty obvious - it makes sense that the guy who was beheaded with so much unfinished business is behind an undead uprising.[/spolier]

Yeah I couldn't work out whether it was for real or if it was part of a plan.

TV show is really ambiguous with thinks like this, but before the scene Halfhand tells Jon that he has to invade the Wildlings and find out what they are up to, he has to seem like a turn cloak, the first step is to kill him in battle.

What's his deal anyway?
He's part of the faceless men, who if I recall correctly, are the most efficient assassin group in the known lands. It was suggested that the Robert should recruit one of them to kill Daenerys, but it cost too much.
Damn..that is cool. That dude is so cool.
gutted that they killed the hot chick too
I so wanna see those dragons when they're huge burning fucking everything!

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
It wasn't ambiguous at all, he explained in episode 8 that Jon would be worth more as an infiltrator that he would as one of the soldiers on the wall, and that he would have to do what needs to be done. This was reiterated in the "Previously on Game of Thrones" before the show proper started.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
What I thought he meant when he said something along the lines of "John do what must be done" is that he wanted John to fuck the redhead and infiltrate the wildlings, not kill him.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
I didn't think it was ambiguous either. When he died he said something like "We are the men of the nights watch". To me that was reminding Jon of his duties and explaining that he was happy to die for the cause.
