He has no claim. Joffrey can claim to be King because officially his father was Robert, the brothers dispute his claim on Ned's word that he's a bastard, Daenarys claims it because she's the heir of the King prior to Robert. He'd have to kill his own double-grandson before he'd give it up anyway.

Saying that, it's likely he'll be pulling the strings from now on, he's head of the family, the kingdom is in debt to him up to its eyeballs, and the army will follow him, not Joffrey.
good news. Hopefully he stabs joffrey.

Renly's lover Loras Tyrell rode into battle at the end whilst clad in the deceased Renly's armour, and displaying his banners, which lead Stannis's men to believe it was Renly's vengeful ghost attacking them, prompting them to shit themselves and flee.

Did this actually happen? I completely missed it if it did.

That wasn't made clear at all, but I do recall Stanis saying "Stand and fight you cowards!" or something to that effect.

The scene itself does not happen but it is implied. When Tywin and his crew bursts into the throne room Loras rides in and takes off his helm, but he is not wearing his silver knight of flowers rumor, he is wearing Renly's armor, the one he was killed in. This happens in the books as well but it's more dramatic, and it's Loras' brother who is wearing the armor.

    Knight of Flowers armor:

I had no idea who that was tbh. Was wondering why they focused a bit on that moment though.

Tyrell? He's featured quite strongly this season.

Besides one certain cathartic Spartacus finale episode, I'd agree with that. Best of the series so far I'd say, which is an achievement.

I feel the reason why this episode was the best (besides the green 'splosion) was that it was very similar to the book. GoT has a lot of bouncing around to do in each episode -- there's beyond the wall, the river lands, kings landing, and to the east and there is so much going on in each region, multiple chapters condensed into 5 minute scenes, it leaves a LOT of detail out (as one would expect) this episode stayed very true to the books, especially the scenes with Sansa and Cersei, and you were able to focus on one situation.

I feel like a lot happened too, the best way to keep a viewers interest is to have meaningful things happen quickly. shifty

I think the build up could be quickened but the important things should be slowed a bit, well not slowed but.. detailed.

I agree with the second bit, but I even like the build up in this series to be honest. I could watch an episode where nothing plot wise happened and still get kicks off the amazing setting, acting and characters.

When I said important stuff happens quickly, I meant that the plot is moved on a lot, rather than saying they brush over things. Not sure if that was clear. shifty

I like the pace of the show don't get me wrong, they could keep everything as is and it's still one of the best shows on TV. I just feel that the last ep. was the best because of it's detail. They do a good job condensing a thousand words into 10 minutes.

Think, I'll get the first two for my holidays then. I kind of want to read the rest and I kind of don't, I do enjoy watching it unfold in the series really.

I read that G.R.R Martin wrote a significant part of the episode.
