Dark Souls
Just got the game, expect to completely fail at it though. Given its apparently the hardest game out there.

It's not that bad when you get used to the controls the bosses though

Defeated my first boss. Had to run like mad every time he raised that massive club of his.

Man this game is good. Truly challenging, though I do hate the bosses. Must get this drake sword.

Re: Dark Souls
Shoot arrows at its tail from the bit under the bridge ( 30-40 I Think it takes) facing it head on is not a good idea.

Not just one flying Gargoyle with a huge axe, but two? Probably going to find some decent armour somewhere.

Some lad in one of my classes bums this game, and won't shut up about it.

Jesus, that minatour boss is impossible. Blightown is horrible, so I'm running out of places to go.

Re: Dark Souls
You know the bridge where the drake is on? Well with a key you can unlock a door in front of it, which leads to assassins and dogs and eventually a white light where resides two annoying dogs and a massive minator like creature. Think it's called the capra demon.

Hate games like these.
I get scared playing Tomb Raider never mind Dark Souls. Even Mass Effect is scaring me.

Ah that one, I stopped playing for a bit because it kept killing me , you could try using the stairs behind it once you've dealt with the dogs. Haven't started Blightown yet can't be worse than the depths

Re: Dark Souls
Sorted that boss out, and now I'm roaming around Blightown with zero direction. Didn't bother killing that boss in the depths, already had the master key.

I got invaded right at the bottom of Blightown, the bastard killed me too.

Re: Dark Souls
Rang the second bell after summoning a player to help me defeat the spider, where humanity comes into play. Just both stood and fired soul arrows while that NPC guy drew its attention. Back to the light now.

Re: Dark Souls
Did you save the guy in the depths? If you did he gives the flame you need for pyromancy

Did he? Was it near the guys with the meat cleavers? Haven't checked my spells section.

Re: Dark Souls
He was just past them in the room with all the barrels, speak to him when you get back sells pyromancy spells too.
You can also sell unwanted stuff now.

Where does he re-appear? Around the firelink starting bit I assume.

Yes just outside that temple place that's usually filled with water

Re: Dark Souls
In that Anor Londo place now. Had to get the help of an online player to defeat the golem boss. Got a crystal halberd which does better damage than the Drake sword, though it's slower.

Re: Dark Souls
The Stray Demon is without doubt the most frustrating boss I've fought so far
Beat him without doubt the most satisfying moment of the game so far urgh he was such a cheap boss.

I now have to fight the bosses in the opening cutscene. Fuck. That.

Re: Dark Souls
The Stray Demon is an optional fight btw he's back at the Undead Asylum, also ran into another boss in Darkroot Gardens who is almost as infuriating Great Grey Wolf Sif who is basically a gigantic wolf with a massive sword in its mouth

Re: Dark Souls
Just defeated the wolf at the third attempt with the help of someone. Intending to go to the Undead Asylum right now. Have to level up some before going after the Scale-less dragon.

Re: Dark Souls
Oh yes, lots and lots of traps, and those giant lizards are awful. Might want to summon someone when you defeat the boss, and the bonfire is in an unobvious spot.

Re: Dark Souls
Sounds fun
There's a birds nest a bit further down and to the right when you come back to the Asylum you can get titanites and purging stones ( sure there's more but that's all I've got so far) by dropping soft and warm items into the nest, quitting ( through the options) then reloading your save.
