Bit premature to compare Tom Hardy's performance to Heath Ledger's. Brilliant actor, no doubt, but Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight was out of this world.

Tom Hardy is a terrifc actor, brilliant. I've followed his career closely. He can do it. I was a big big fan of Ledger too, was and still is one of my favourite actors, along with Hardy.

Interesting things that I noticed:

- For a trailer of a Batman film, there's a distinct lack of Batman.
- Bane's voice is somewhat inaudible. I hope they fix that.
- Still barely any sign of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard. Will we ever find out their respective roles in the film?
- Will Selena Kyle be a villain or will she aid Batman? Her warning seems a little malicious, but the pictures that have been released of her looked very Batman-esque.
- Is the bit with Bruce Wayne in prison a flashback from Batman Begins or is something new? Either way, it's very interesting.
- It seems that Bane will be the prominent villain. He also seems like a fucking badass and is certainly the most intriguing character to come out of both this trailer and this one.

I doubt that, but I'm sure he did a good job nonetheless.

Ledger's performance was enough to warrant an Oscar win, for a comic book movie, which is damn near impossible. I like Hardy but he'll have to blow it out of the water (which will be hard to do in a character like Bane) to even come close to Heath's Joker.

God I love these movies..

I don't know much about the Batman comics; does this follow the entire story or just a small part of it?

There is a shit load of story lines for batman.

I think this is his own take on the batman story. (not sure because i barely follow comics )

Bane is a beast, looks like they are showing his intelligent side. In the comics he's probably more intelligent than Batman.

Most films and stuff show him as a mindless lunatic pumped with Toxins.

Looks quality. Love Nolan.

Is top of my list of must watch movies.
