Sometimes football can be like watching paint dry, I've sat through so many terrible 0-0s.

Yep, there can be games where literally nothing happens, you're guaranteed something happening in every American football game.

You're not going to understand every rule of american football by watching one game. It's obviously much enjoyable if you understand it so maybe if you actually take the time to understand the game instead of just laughing and facepalming you would find it more enjoyable.

    Meh, try watching cricket.

I used to love cricket. Most painful one I ever sat through was the Ashes when England got whitewashed, one day in Melbourne I think, two Aussie (one was Andrew Symonds I remember) batsman just stayed in all day and got about 300 runs or something ridiculous.

Like rivalries? I don't know. There are, but I don't know if they are as intense as in soccer.

Yeah, and nearly something happens every play as well, even if there are big breaks in between. I'm not saying it's better than football though, just that I can understand both sides of the argument.
