Chelsea's defensive situation.

Mata, Lampard, Mikel, Ramires & Cech have all been fantastic.

Mata and Ramires have been stand outs imo.

John Terry and David Luiz is a truely awful partnership for a defensive high line. Terry is a slug and Luiz is a headless chicken.

Terry and A.Cole are absolutely woeful and should be behind Ivanovic and Alex (Terry that is)

I agree, sorry about those.

TBH, Chris is kind of right.

Chelsea's defenders individually aren't all that great.

Good thing for them they can actually defend as a unit unlike Arsenal.

I'd say Arsenal are slowly improving defending as a unit as bad as players like Arteta and Gervinho are they do defend well enough.

We're talking about Chelsea not Arsenal.

Alex and Ivanovic should be the starting center halves, Ivanovic has definitely improved going forward, but having 2 attacking constantly attacking fullbacks just leaves them way too exposed as witnessed last night, there was hardly ever a "defensive line" to speak of, the first goal could have been avoided if the fullback's werent already pushing up so high as Ivanovic would've been an easy pass for Mikel had he been further back. That said, Bosingwa wouldn't help the defensive line so it's shopping time in January for Roman
