Guardiola better manager the fergie? Manchester United FC Official Thread - Page 18 70955 that just toally made me not even bother talking to you. messi doesnt play = Barca doesnt play. as said fergie's biggest weakness is tactics.. same for guardiola, but he doesnt have all the other attributes fergie has or he isnt as good at them. he has 1 style and 1 style only, if it doesnt work he has no answers. thats not a great manager. this is a guy that let Yaya leave

Er...he let Yaya leave and he nearly won the Treble the season after. Guardiola is a man who has gone into a Champions League Final against Ferguson missing 75% and 25% of his defence, and used midfielders to plug the gap and outdone Ferguson.

Can you explain some of the great Ferguson's decisions that I brought up?

    ViVaRooney wrote:

he can hardly play defensive with a team like Madrid... jsut look at the players. even if he tried he couldnt be defensive. dont be such a spastic

Sure he can, didn't you see how they beat Barcelona in the Copa del Rey Final, it wasn't through kamikaze football like Ferguson tried (twice), that's for sure.

the board spent £300m+ for that team(half of that in 1 transfer window Neutral), he wouldnt get that anywhere else but man city. so if he did come here there is no way we would be scoring that many goals

Well it depends what team the 'greatest manager ever' leaves for him, doesn't it? If he left a team like we've got now, I think you're right, he would have to play defensive football to avoid farcical results like Manchester City, but if he inherited a team as good as the 07/08 one, not so much. He adapts to his circumstances to achieve success regardless, that isn't a bad thing.

    VivaRonaldo wrote:

Not hard with the players he has there, but at Inter and most knowingly Chelsea he was too defensive.

I wouldn't say he was too anything at Chelsea or Inter, given the unprecedented success he brought to those clubs. What he's done at Madrid, it proves that when he wants to, he can have his teams play great football. They even outscored Barcelona.

For all the random and slightly odd things RR says, he's right about Mourinho. Exceptional manager. The way he's building Real Madrid is just impressive. I really wish Fergie had the insight to buy midfielders like Özil and Sahin. Those two alone would have virtually solved our midfield issues.

First one's patently not true. Ferguson said we went after one player that summer and didn't get him, because some players just don't want to leave their own country, it was David Villa.

Can you answer some of my questions about the Champions League Final?

doesnt matter what we did in the final we would have lost

no team in the world can stop barca when they are at it, on their good day. not madrid, not chelsea not anyone so i dont know what you want me to answer

if he played how you wanted him to and we lost then what would you have said?? you would probably complain again.. cause we fucking lost a final, so you look for excuses

Mourinho beat them in a Final last season, didn't he? Instead of just saying 'We would have lost anyway', why not explain some of the decisions that I brought up. Unless you're completely clueless that is. I do expect 'the greatest manager ever' to be able to come up with tactics to beat a team even if that team's better than his though, and I don't expect 'the greatest manager ever' to let one of the biggest clubs in the world decline to the extent that another team could be so so far ahead they might as well be playing a different sport.

i said barca on their day

jose beat them ONCE in a pointless copa del ray final when there was CL and league matches around it that barca cared FAR more about so get some fucking clue

i dont agree with some of the decisions fergie made, that doesnt make him wrong. how fucking arrogant are you to think your tactic would work better.. defensive does not = better performance. instead of losing 3-1 we would lose 3-0.. great. many teams play negative against barca and still get fuck all.

Barca are so far ahead of us cause they have got the best player in the history of football.. and we dont have unlimited money like Madrid to compete. Barca also have some amazing players from their academy which we had in 90s. grow up and stop whining, you think if mourinho was here we would be doing better? behave

I presented tactics on here that we should have used to play Barcelona, it was focused on exploiting their weaknesses, rather than using the same mongoloid tactics that failed 2 years before. I mean Carrick and Giggs? Really? Really? Really? Did he even watch the Champions League Final in 2009? I fucking did, and I saw them getting absolutely rinsed. When I saw us lining up with the same fucking tactics at Wembley, except with Fabio instead of O'Shea, Hernandez instead of Cristiano Ronaldo, and Valencia instead of Anderson/Tevez I nearly walked out, because we were dead from the moment that team sheet came out.

Can you tell me how 'the greatest manager ever' thought that would work?

Back in 2009 we had a shitload of money, there was £80m from the Ronaldo sale and £25m+ available for the Tevez deal, who did Ferguson buy with it? He bought Obertan, Diouf, Valencia, and signed Michael Owen on a free transfer. What a great manager.

again.. look at yourself, you are right now saying you are a better manager then fergie cause YOU think your tactic would be better. its pathetic, and there is much more to management then tactics kid. right now you just sound like a spoilt kid who is still upset about the CL final loss and living in your imaginary world where if fergie listened to you we would have double the CL trophies

on transfers, we dont know the full story so no point speculating(we did bid £32m on benzema that summer and Villa too i think or that was season after). who says we had all that money to spend right away? and also this is a squad game, spending all that money on 1 player or 2 is wreckless. not to mention i bet some of that went towards the debt

Ferguson himself said he had all the money he wanted but he decided there was no value in the market - he let the team go downhill because of how fucking tight he is. Are you calling him a liar?

that team played superbly against chelsea, more then once, thats what fergie probably was thinking.

if we had gone 4-5-1 i would have been even more down, i would rather we have ago and lose 3-1 then sit back and lose 2-0. if we sat back we wouldnt have gone out our own box. and the game at 1-1 we were in it, it took 2 superb long range efforts to beat us (not saying we deserved to win or anything, just the goals were special)
