Said it at start of the season, they need proper experienced full backs. Both goals from poor positioning and concentration from both full backs. They got money, no idea why they never spent it.

Why wont Spurs invest in full backs?

It's game overrrrrrrrrr
3-0 down, ten men against the treble winners from Italy oh how it's already a battering

They did invest in fullbacks, they're just for the future (Walker and Naughton).
TBH the whole back 4 are utter shit at defending.
Bassong - Absolutely terrible every time I see him.
Gallas - Past it and stupid.
Hutton - Is he even expected to be better than a fat guy in the crowd at defending? He's a headless chicken.
BAE - Not too bad but his pace can't save him from his tactical naivety against Inter's pacey forwards.
It's just a shambles...even Huddlestone who being a chunky guy you'd expect to be good at defending just walked over the ball and let Stankovic score.......and Jenas is not any good at defending either.
With Corluka, King and Dawson (or Woodgate if you even dare to consider him ever fit...) they might've stood a chance because they're all good defenders...
Up front Spurs have been doing alright but with only 10 men and no Defoe it's hard.

Ok. So really they need to invest in full backs... Gallas and Bassong are good enough to be back up to King and Dawson.

I swear they buy a right back every other transfer window. Wasn't it just last season when they had Hutton, Corluka, Gunter, Chimbonda and Naughton in the squad all at once?

Well a right back scored a hattrick. Bale is a right back, right?

Left midfeilder.
Anyway I agree. If they actually had decent fullbacks in that match they probably would have drew or won.
Nearly every goal was an due to the bad defending of their fullbacks.

Left back turned left midfield.
I'd say left winger but unlike a winger Bale is capable as a defender and runs back and forth sticking in challenges.

Corluka and BAE are pretty solid if you ask me.
Think they were linked with Srna a while back.

True.
Croatia do have quite a talented team though.

BAE is not good enough for a CL team, either get a new LB or get Bale to learn some defending.
