Pretty Much Agree with RR would include Uncharted* and Gears of War in there somewhere though. Uncharted 3 has been called the best game out to date.

replace those three with:

Civilization IV (Never played the fifth one..)
Age of Mythology
Europa Universalis III

and I think the Pokemon series deserves a mention over maybe one of the GTA's...

Really, I am not sure. I play Europa Universalis which is honestly the best game ever, but it isn't exactly the same thing as AoE and AoM.

The campaign was a lot better, but the online community for AOC was much much better. The custom games community was always making new maps and game modes, I played it for 7 years and didn't feel like it was getting old.

I prefer Hearts of Iron...when I have tried other games by Paradox I just can't get into it......

AOM has a large modding community. Lots of good new maps were made over the years. Unfortunate it is impossible to add new civilizations to it...

I still play AoM from time to time, which shows how great the game was.
