Bump, watching the second season premiere. Just as brilliant as the first season, and the new chick is stunning.

Re: Sherlock
Magnificent. That episode alone trumps both of the new film versions.

Re: Sherlock
Did anyone see in the paper about how the actor that plays Sherlock was held at gunpoint in South Africa and said he used Sherlocks method to trick his way out of it?

Re: Sherlock
- Spoiler:
- The last two episodes were a bit disappointing with the unfinished questions at the end.
Ep. 2: How the hell did he know to save the woman from the beheading?
Ep. 3: How the hell did he fake his own death?
Only downfall of the series for me.

- Spoiler:
- First point, that was episode 1.
Second, that was the whole point. A cliff-hanger of confusion.
Leaving the audience in the dark in the first instance perhaps shows his super-human standards, works on a whole different plane. The second will be answered next season.
I'm glad they didn't make Watson ever begin to disbelieve Sherlock, if there's one thing he epitomised in the books, it was loyalty. Can't wait to see him in the Hobbit.

Regarding your second question, this is most likely what happened.
- Spoiler:
- He talks to Molly where he mentions he knows he's going to die and he needs her help. I'm guessing she obtained a dead body similar to Sherlock's and dressed it up etc. He then gets someone to throw his body out of a window (possibly) as he is jumping and he lands somewhere safe.
Remember when John gets knocked over by the cyclist? He doesn't see Sherlock hit the ground. And all the people crowding the body don't let John take his pulse when he tells them he's a doctor. His homeless network?

Re: Sherlock
Rei, the ending is supposed to be a cliffhanger, just like the end of the first season.
That's not a spoiler, is it?

That's the whole point, we're supposed to be left asking these questions and we will find out in the next series.
I didn't watch the first series btw but this was fantastic.

We can all agree with the high calibre of Cumberbatch's and Freeman's acting.

I just watched that last scene again.

Maybe I was a bit too jumpy on the season finale, but for some reason it felt more like a dangling thread at the end of a novel rather than a cliffhanger. Must be because I had it in my head that the show was finished. I mean, how do you make another series after that?

Re: Sherlock
Well
- Spoiler:
- I think what Sarmz wrote is going to be the case, but the thing is it raises questions if they will continue the series, on one hand you have Sherlock, if he tells everyone he's alive again the terrorists who want the false code will come back, killing Watson, Mrs Hudson and Lestrade, but if the went to all that detail to include the part with Molly I'm sure they'd want to continue the series to tight the loose ends and because this is the first TV show I follow religious since Batman The Animated Series.
That and who the fuck is going to replace Moriarty as a villain, he has no equal.

Good point, Moriarty was his arch-nemesis. The only one who could intellectually compete and even beat him. How will they find a greater evil? Bad Sherlock would be a nice treat, so Watson would be conflicted.
