no higher voice in english football on technical brilliance than chris waddle, the man speak the truth. enough of the aggressive but untalented barrys, hendersons, lampards and gerrard....enter sturridge mceachran and oxlade chamberlain

You mention Henderson in the same lines as Lampard, Gerrard and Barry? Why? He's not an England regular and only has 1 cap to his name. He's only the U21 captain nothing more.

henderson is the stereotypical , generic english footballer that english kids look up to and try to emulate. he make perfect relevancy to this because the predicitions are rife by his liverpool fans and over stimulated english fans that he will be world class one day

You're exaggerating. Who are you to say who kids can and can't look up too? If people look up to Gerrard, fair enough. If they look up to some league 2 player, fair enough. If they look up to Henderson, this 'stereotypical English football' as you call him then that's fine with me.

Looking up to someone more techical doesn't mean anything, that's not what having an idle is about. To predict the future of a 20 year old is stupid too. Sturridge is 22 at the moment and when Man City got rid he wasn't seen as a future England player at all. Now he's improving fast and might make the cut eventually.

Not sure about mceachran and oxlade chamberlain. They are both pretty young and it would be unfair on them to be put under soo much pressure because of the high expectations English people have.

on the contrary i think they are quite ready. it doesnt matter what activity thery are doing in club level, the important thing is that they are far more talented now and the future and worth more to england. get them ready noow

what nonsense. just because u cannot agree to new contract with a club and so u decide to join a even bigger club doesnt make u not seens as a future england player. strurridge has been touted as a international since he was 12 waddle : england need sturridge, mceachran, chamberlain 58503

nothing wrong with predicting hendersons future because my prediction is very accurate. u must ask yourself, what improvements can he make with himself? physically? sure, muscle mass? indeed. technique? IMPOSSIBLE, henderson is guarenteed to make little improvement and the player u see now will be the same as in the future because of no basic fundamentals

grenade dont worry a bout pressure! i dont understand why some people can be afraid to call these really young guys. other country call up young player all the time even if they are bench player in their club, but they do it as either to examine closer the player as they clearly have big future, or to see how they respond to being surround by senior players. many times proven early exposure can be beneficial

    England need a miracle.

But srsly, Chrissy Waddle has a point. At the moment you have useless/old farts like Lampard, Barry, Ferdinand, etc. stinking up the place in the England squad. If we start looking to the youth now, we might actually have a chance of doing well from 2014/2016 onwards.

Mauro you see when Sturridge comes on as a sub and doesn't score in the 10minutes he plays, the people of Liverpool will start calling him shit and that Andy 'next Van Basten ' Caroll is the best striker in the world. These scouse parasites will try their best to mentally unstabilize these fantastic young players because they're jealous as they will never see players of this quality at their mediocre club.

my friend this is the cycle. henderson would of been one of the millions of pions that would of emulated gerrard in his backyard. his inability to trap the ball and his complete lack of creative ability and weak skill set stem from the fact that he chose to emulate a mediocre player rather than someone like ronaldinho or zidane

now when the new generation of babies isborn, they will look to someone new to emulate, a current player...a player like henderson, a player that has easy traits to follow, run kick, run, and then kick again....that is henderson to a T, and that is the type of player that english kids will youtube everyday and try to copy. not to mention their parents will say "stop diddy daddling on the ball mickey u dont need stepovers! what you need is to get that ball up to the strikers ASAP!" that is the truth

    Exactly.

Once upon a time, millions of kids were too busy trying to emulate David Beckham's haircut rather than trying to improve their footballing skills.

This is why there are so many nancy boys in this country.

England doesn't need Gerrard. If he starts at the World Cup, i'm turning off and they lose my support. Same happens if Capello goes 4-4-2.
