Remove the "Walcott as a centre forward option please" he's so fucking shit, completely useless and shouldn't be near the bench.

Bendtner on the wing > Walcott every position.

Sell all there players none of them are good enough for a top 10 finish and use the funds to sign messi. I would rather play Messi on his own against the mancs than play that shower of shit

There is no quick solution. Arsenal were grooming a set of youngsters ever since 2007, had they managed to keep their players their squad would have been contenders today quite easily. However since then players have been sold and replaced, most noteably players who were key for their future like Flamini, Adebayor, Touré and José Antonio Reyes have disappeared, and the "leading beacon of hope" of that generation, Cesc Fabregas disappeared to Barcelona. That generation of players is done and dusted, all the hard work of developing them into "contenders" was wasted as they now ply their trade for other clubs, and Arsene now has to start over again.

Money should have been spent to ensure Arsenal become contenders again, buying a key player in every position should have been a priority.
A top class centerback such as Chiellini, Simon Kjær, Thiago Silva, Christopher Samba or even Brede Hangeland.
A top class midfield, either holding or attacking, such as Montolivio, Hazard, Yann M'vila, Wesley Sneijder, Gourcuff (would have been perfect behind Van Persie), Götze, Lucho Gonzales. There are a host of midfielders he could have bought that would have significantly changed Arsenal. Then up front he's always been in need for a top class goalscorer.

However, he's gone out and bought older, experienced "squad players" to cover positions until the young talent blossoms. In theory it's all very good, but in order for it to work it is absolutely vital that they manage to keep these players once they become stars. They managed for quite a while with Cesc, but him alone was never going to be enough to win them any titles. It's the right tactic as long as they manage to keep their players, if not it's a lost cause. At the moment it's not looking like a very solid plan.

He can't solve these problems by bringing in the right players in January either. He's gone for a group of players now, and if he turns on them he's just going to unsettle the squad and ruin whatever chance he has of salvaging this mess.

I only do it to Arsenal because it's been done to Liverpool since the forum was created. I can 100% guarantee you, if there was no wumming from Arsenal fans in the past then I wouldn't say or do anything towards Arsenal!

Even more so, I hardly wum. You come and check on my posts at the wrong time Mal because my version of WUMing is pathetic at most.

There's no question Arsenal are a very poor team and it will take atleast a season or two to get them back to what they were 8 years ago

There's only 2 managers above Wenger in the world, and none of them are going to be joining Arsenal. But if you were to replace him you'd want to go for style and method of play, as well as talent for development rather than the most successful. Sure success is great, but if Arsenal start playing like they did before Wenger... It would be criminal.

Van Basten has a very positive style of play and is not afraid to use youngsters, while also highly aware that without experience a team can not succeed, he's also a big fan of youth development.

Guardiola has a philosohpy that is very clear and it's either his way or the high way, much like Wenger to be perfectly honest. He's leaving Barca (or so he said last season) so he could be a good successor to Wenger. He's also fairly clever in the transfermarket, and is good at shipping out troublemakers when needed.

Jürgen Klopp has shown with Dortmund that he knows how to build a team, and that he can win things with kids. It would be interesting to see what he could do with a bigger budget in a club the size of Arsenal.

Guus Hiddink is just awesome, he may not be as good as Wenger (although I easily consider him in the top 5 in the world), but his style of play is brilliant, his approach to man management even got Chelsea's obviously fractioned dressing room to look unified and he's got the credentials of doing big things with nothing, or little at all. Give him Arsenal and he'll probably surprise a lot of people. He also wants to get back into club management after his international gig.

Carlo Ancelotti is the one I consider least fitting for the job out of the ones listed. Sure he's a good man manager, but his style of play is often a touch too methodic and , unsurprisingly, Italian. I would also go as far as to say that based on his time in Milan he's not really the man you'd want to rebuild a squad, certainly not one which contains a lot of youngsters. I'm sure he'd do well though. In my opinion he's not better than Hiddink.

Why would you sack Wenger to bring in a weaker manager? Guardiola wont leave Barcelona yet and when he does he'll either A) Take Fergies job B) Spain C) Retire

The rest I wouldn't take over Wenger. Klopp had a fluke season imo.

Wenger is the third best manager in the world as I see it, so I wouldn't sack him. But if you were to replace him those are the people I'd consider a good fit for Arsenal. As for Guardiola:

“I think my time here at Barcelona is coming to an end,” said Guardiola
in an interview with Italian television station Rai. “I’m happy here but
when you are at a club like this for a long time it’s not possible to
stay long-term. “Next year will be my fourth consecutive as Barca coach.
A club like this must have a lot of courage to keep a coach for all
this time because players tire of coaches and vice versa.”

Fergie recently said he wants to stay on for 3-4 years and build a successful team to leave to his successor. So at the end of this season it's doubtful that he'll be replaced by Guardiola. He's far too young to retire, he has years ahead of him and still has a lot to learn, despite being so successful. As for Spain coach, there's absolutely no reason to sack Del Bosque and there is no reason to believe Del Bosque would quit the Spain job anytime soon.

As for Klopp, he did maybe have a fluke season, but the team he built was still a class act and brought a new enthusiasm to the club. He probably doesn't want to leave Germany though.

Fergie doesn't want to leave until he knows there is a suitable replacement for him. It's common knowledge he will have an input on who is succeeds him. What if Guardiola takes a year out? That would be 2 years for Fergie and i'm sure he'd agree with Guardiola succeeding him.

Not if Guardiola turns out to have a "short term" manager approach. I'm guessing Fergie wants his successor to be long term, not 4 years and then I'm out.
