Ah, so you haven't actually got a clue about modern football then. Good to know.

Yeah well that says alot for football then and how much its going down the drain.
How can you expect to win a game when your midfield only pass sideways ?
    Great football that.....

He doesn't only pass sideways though.. Neutral

And he's passing the ball to someone who might take it forward. Would you prefer him to pass the ball forward or to someone who is in a better position. Look at Barca, majority of their passes aren't forward, because they keep possession and will go back to the goalkeeper if there's nothing on for them.

I was being sarcastic, were you?

    Nope.
Way to many sideways and backwards.

its not his fault no one was making runs in the final third. If everyone just stands around watching its hard to play a pass to them.

He had one of his better games, Yes but hes passing it sideways and backwards too much.
    Moscow's stats say different.

And use your brain mate, you can't make a forward pass to the strikers/widemen all the time. Laughing

I know you can't make passes forward all the time, but i would expect him to make a few more, even some penetrating passes but he hasnt for a while.

and most of his passing the go "Forward" are passes to the wider players the are like 3 metres infront of him or to the other midfield players that are a littler higher then him some times

    SuperManUtd, you are clueless Laughing

Modern football is actually a lot faster than it used to be, keeping possession is a vital part of the game, would you like everyone to pass and run forward like in FIFA (not 12 tho Cool )?

Not sure what exactly Aussie Rule football is but if you're expecting real footy to be like that then you're wrong Laughing

Yeah but Barce can get away with it because the about of times they go forward and there midfields can make those penetrating passes the carrick doesnt't

A breakdown on Carricks passing tonight:
    Completed: 97%
    Attacking third: 28/28
    Long: 2/2
    Short: 19/20
    Forward: 40/41
    Backward 23/23
    Square: 13/14
    Backwards or Square: 36/37

Carrick played more passes forward today as well..

Yeah thats only because he wasn't playing against a chelsea a arsenal or a decent team for that matter.
Basel played well but it was more of united having shit defence and midfield.

Against Chelsea he came on as a sub, made 90% completed passes.
    Attacking third: 19/21
    Long: 1/2
    Short: 7/7
    Forward: 8/10
    Backward: 7/7
    Square: 4/4
    Backwards or Square: 11/11

He came on to keep the ball as Chelsea were in fact piling the pressure on. Again, nothing wrong with playing it backwards while keeping hold of possession.

He didn't play against Arsenal, nor was he on the bench. Although, against Bolton he had 90% success rate, AGAIN! making half of his passes forward and the other half backwards or sideways.
