Messi is a wonderful player, the best ever in my view, but there is a question over whether he should be allowed to play, in my great mind at least. Shameless Smith brought up this point and in this case he is right.
What a lot of people don't know about Messi is that when he was younger, scientists at Barcelona pumped his body full of chemicals and hormones that were designed purely to enhance his performance on the football pitch by improving his growth to unnatural levels. The last time I checked, performance enhancing drugs were illegal under FIFA's rules, and for me, this should include long term performance enhancements that wouldn't be available to most people in the world.
I believe that FIFA should permanently ban Messi, and FIFA, UEFA, the IOC, Primera Liga and the RSF should strip Barcelona and Argentina of all the titles they have won with him in their team, and award them to their closest rivals - ie. the 2nd placed team or the Finalists they defeated with the help of an enhanced player.
