Don't let that get in the way of a Jela victim story.

You can't correctly pronounce a word, tomato for example:

    Tom-at-o or Tom-ay-toe?

Both right, just different interpretations. Nothing to do with accents.

    Po-ta-toe or Po-tay-toe?

    Again, both correct.

The "ay" versions are generally how Americans say it. That's an accent thing.

    Hall of Shame - Page 25 Tower-crane12

Cran, as in cranberry? or crayne?

I seriously can't believe some of you people kept it going for so long.

Well it wouldn't be "cran" because there's an E on the end.

So basically, it's as I said. It's not that Scottish people can't pronounce crayne, it's just an interpretation.

More people call it crayne, but plenty do call it cran.

    PS. I say crayne.

For the record the Finnieston Crane being pronounced cran, I think is just a matter of Scottish slang.

    Same as Down - doon
    town - toon
    now - noo

    and so on

Don't talk like that myself and I pronounce Crane as it should be, but this doesn't mean Scottish people suddenly pronounce shame as sham or Spain as Span

Getting a bit silly now as much as Jela is an idiot

I was trolling ahly when I was saying it was barbaric etc,

There isn't actually much wrong with it, (ok i wouldn't eat my pet rabbit) but it's not hall of shame worthy or worthy of putting in your signature facepalm

Have you never tried rabbit before Jela? It's quite nice.
