My friend, they are not comparable considering the penalty he slipped. It was a turf problem, not a Rooney problem. The "empty net" you describe was not an empty net, and it is a difficult technique to aquire on your weaker foot, however he was still so close to scoring.

A miss of the Torres calibre will not be seen for a long time to come.

My friend in the other thread you described the pitch as "glorious". What is this Neutral

Loving the bitterness today, keep it coming.

Destroying you wasn't lucky, you were shite.
Beating Spurs wasn't lucky, we were too good for their poor side.
Bolton wasn't lucky, easy win because their defence couldn't cope with our brilliance.

    Actually was Macheda.

Not like Terry (I think) pulls down Brown when you score, a few seasons back.

Crazy game, we had the luck on our side today, but in previous years us and Chelsea always seem to get bad decisions for and against, we took our chances and Chelsea were very wasteful even though they played well.

Both teams really should have scored more goals, from our point of view we should have killed the game off and from theirs they should have got back into it, overall I'm happy with the result despite a pretty poor performance.

How can a team be consistently lucky? Your argument doesn't make any sense. What we consistently do is take advantage of what luck we do get, so it gets played up.

No doubt we had more luck today by the way, but that's as far as it goes. Just look at our last few defeats against Chelsea to see how consistent our luck is.

To be fair as well, if Nani wasn't given offside and nothing came of it nothing would be said, like RR said because we make something of the luck it gets pulled up.. I remember v Spurs last season they had a massive chance from a shit call of a ball being out of play and didn't take it, we took a chance from a lucky decision as well, but because we took it people said we had all the luck, pretty fucking annoying.

We also didn't have much luck with Rooney slipping at the penalty, but because we won anyway, nothing's made of it.

At least now we're even in terms of luck with Chelsea after 2008's CL Final. Their player slipped and missed a penalty, our player slipped and missed a penalty.

Here in the states is it true that FOX is actually showing this thing tonight on a delay?? Like actual FOX, not FSC? I imagine it was live on FSC but it would be big if an EPL game made the main channel delay or not.

Evra on MUTV: I prefer Wayne to do that here than he do that in Moscow!”

That was a stupid game. I'm happy to take the 3 points and never really mention it again.

There's no point analysing this game to take anything meaningful from it. United won a kamikaze, crazy game of football. That's it
